because they have done their best to make us hate the African in us, and they have succeeded. Most of us well quick fi seh wi a nuh African. But de chiney ppl dem nah deny dem roots at all, it only us who deny wiself. </div></div>

Not so much as hate within, but more perhaps to be conditioned to identify outwardly as to the skin as opposed to the good souls and minds that is within each African- Jamaican as well as most universal African born outside Africa.

Blackman is usually the term used when describing a diasporian Africa or local African. </div></div>

Depends if him brown he`s a brownman in Jamaica, but in America, him is a Blackman just by de slightest kink. </div></div>


True to the wider american society he is blackman, but among other blacks he is still a brown man, it is a way of recognizing that he or she is a half breed. That same brown man in S.America Cuba or Africa might well be seen as white

All these many nations within Africa shared a common culture. Tosh was one of a few that include Mutabaruka to openly identify as being African, based mainly on being black.

They do share a common culture but not the same culture.
Every Rastaman black or white in Jamaica claim his African Ancestry, so they are not few.

what do you call a person of apparent indian descent if you just saw him &amp; didn't hear him speak? quick...
what about a person of obvious east asian descent?

i doubt it would be a brown or a yellow...yet a person of apparent african descent is labeled 'black'

they are jamaican--- but if they are not taino then their roots are elsewhere...
so every other jamaican gets to be identified with his land of origin except the so-called black jamaican

No Jamaican ever refers to himself as Half-Black.
Half- Indian
Half - Chinese
Half whatever, but never half black/African. Most Jamaicans would
rather be other than black.
