God does not love us all as people will lead you to believe

yeah,,none of the bible thumpers down there can find it in the bible----any christian would be in denial and tell you that god loves everyone as taught in the religious institution

The Bible was written by men a few thousand years ago who believed much we do not believe today . It is often set in parables and metaphors and other ways of expressing philosophical concepts too complicated for the average person.

If God is the creator it would be presumed he liked what he made and would not pick and choose but go with the big picture.

I cannot understand thinking that an omniscient God would either respond to individual prayer or act for or against individuals nor would a God expect or want people to worship him/her/it . An all-powerful and omniscient God would not lack the self esteem to require that sort of nonsense and would in fact think it a failing on the part of his supposedly highest creations.

As in the poem Abou ben Adhem (Hunt), a truly wise God would judge us solely by how we treat our brothers and sisters and not by how much we love and worship him which is a waste of his time and ours.

Men have no power without god, you cant write the bible without gods approval, providing your living god is the ultimate power..
are only say is do we agree with god

thats not sayin he loves evryone--thats not indicating he loves everyone

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son....to be nailed up.

Makes no sense to me.

Wouldn't a loving, omniscient and omnipotent God send down His only begotten son and straighten out humanity once and for all. Show them The Way and have them believe it and live it?

What is more likely from an all-knowing wise and loving God?

He works in mysterious ways and dictates in metaphors so we never quite know what he's talking about.
That makes no sense either.

He wouldn't attempt that sort of thing nowadays.
I'd be right on His case.

I would say I believe in God, a creator, but have become increasingly disillusioned with Religion (and humanity too lol).

But yeah, as a Bible teaching God definitely DOES NOT love everyone.
This book tells us that he once deluged the whole world, wiping out even the animals, because he hated the people then living.

In fact even the humans he loves are actually presented as being unworthy of his love.
Because only with the the murder of his beloved Son could he accept them as being anything but doomed from birth REGARDLESS of any good thing they did or tried to do.
So the whole warm, fuzzy, easygoing God is definitely not a Biblical thing.

In some ways I find Biblical Christianity tremendously depressing.
Maybe that's why people are attracted to nicer sounding things.
