I'm just making my way through the thread, but I strongly agree with the bold. What is that about? You want to kill yourself then do so. I'll mourn for you and wonder how things got to that point. Don't try to drag me along for the ride though. I'm not trying to go no where now.

This is one of the most painful things I have read in a long time Depression is a helluva thing and she could very well be suffering from PPD. When my friend told me she had felt like filling her tub and taking her boys in with her some time ago but instead took up the phone and called her mom, that's when I realised how dark that illness can be. And I'm not justifying her action. </div></div>

I did not know how real PPD was until I had a friend who suffered from it after her second child. The children are about 5 years apart. She literally had to call her mother to come get the baby too. (Her mother took both the children.) She could not take another second of crying and said she knew complete loss of control was coming.

They put her on some meds and she had therapy and everything is fine now. Well, it's not exactly fine because she and the hubby divorced because he could never understand what went on with her that day she was about to break down.

Honestly, if it were the other way around, I'd struggle to even attend my hubby's funeral at all if he killed my children. But I can tell you one thing, before the murderer and the victims had one funeral together, there would be no funeral at all.

Alright, given the fact that she had her first child at 14, it appears she has a history of poor judgment. I have no idea whether she was mentally ill, but if she was, how you gonna blame her chemical imbalance on the husband?

Had she just killed herself alone, I could find some empathy in my heart. I live by the &quot;do unto others&quot; rule and under no circumstance would I have wanted my mother to kill me regardless of what she was going through in her mind.

This whole &quot;she thought they couldn't make it without her&quot; is weak to death. If they had to fear for their lives, then they weren't doing so hot with her in the first place. The only real argument I see for her being mentally ill and not having PPD is that it is my understanding that they want to kill the child and not themselves.

Whatever the problem was, that was truly a selfish act. I have known women who have been damn near beat to death who pick themselves up after getting out of the hospital and their children and move cross country to get away from the situation.

I understand her just about as much as I do kids who murder off half the school and then kill themselves.
