1) Cuba is not nor has any other country in history ever been communist.
2)Communism is spelled with a small "c" unless it begins a sentence .
3) The Cuban government support of this gay rights parade is unique in any Latin American and Caribbean country and is due in no small part to Raul Castro's daughter being the head of the gay rights movement in Cuba.
4) This would not have been possible in religious, macho Jamaica where a fictitious God orders national policies and backward attitudes on homosexuality.Comment

It was a parade for HIV/aids awareness and the letters that commented on the article paint quite a different picture from a tolerant Jamaica. Were I gay I would not have publicly outed myself in Jamaica as I would if i were living in a far more tolerant and societally advanced Cuba.
Still, I stand corrected in some respects.

By di way, anybaddi whe feel like going to N.K. an displaying dem "freedom of expression", dem welcome tuh duh dat.
Mi also hav ah question. As much as yuh advocate "Communism", how com yuh selected warm Jamaica tuh live instead ah going tuh warm Cuba, it jus dung di road? Is dat because yuh noh tink dem practice TRUE Communism, which yuh seem tuh always ah praise dem fah?

There were laws on the books against homosexuality that called for death long before the British Empire.
It was the same book that called for genocide, genital mutilation, misogynist practices and which many fools still follow.
