I did have to look up what ETA meant. (edited to add) . Which now adds to the things that i have to admit I don't or didn't know.

I would not have recommended any of Hitchens' videos to you had I know you were a believer in God.

For that matter, quite a few people for whom I post videos and articles let me know that they have refused to look at them.

And IYO what does that say about them?

There were laws on the books against homosexuality that called for death long before the British Empire.

It was the same book that called for genocide, genital mutilation, misogynist practices and which many fools still follow.

Well... this is the first time anybody ever accused me of giving the Bible ANY credit or credibility for that matter.

One of the fora a while ago had a discussion on the &quot;sin&quot; of homosexuality and BlakkGiant, the board's lovable homophobe after being shot down by claiming Leviticus as his (Christian) justification for his homophobic rants went to saying that African tradition and /or culture was his reasons and someone posted an article on the acceptance of homosexuality amongst various African cultures PREVIOUS to the arrival of the &quot;christian&quot; colonialists after which the hateful ways of those &quot;Christians&quot; was enforced upon and now widely adopted by the colonized peoples.


Homosexuality is about as old as the human race but I could not tell you when homophobia came about, only that as mentioned, it appears in print in the Bible.
