just the opposite...i think it's the people who absolutely can not criticize obama on anything that are the true mental slaves...
they have made racism cloud their judgement;
a good example is those who opposed war when george bush did it but are absolutely silent when obama does it;
i respect obama but let's be real...his value is mainly symbolic for blacks;
he can actually do less for blacks than a white prez would be able to for simple fear of appearing to the white masses (a.k.a. voters) as being too cozy with blacks &amp; their issues (like jeremiah wright);

he is being blasted by the media &amp; politicos for even attempting a fair breakdown of the israeli-palestinian issue;
can you imagine how much they would slam him if he took up any black issues?
like the tulsa, oklahoma reparation issue for one

Very well said R_C, I could not have said it any better.. It's obvious that some of us will never be happy with our Prez.. I would venture to say, going back to day &quot;one&quot; had Obama diverted from the usual safe platitudes, it would be not enough! ~ Had he proclaimed, after taking the oath of office, that he was gonna right all past wrongs, end all wars and military actions, denounce his predecessors for their past atrocities resulting in the death of innocent victims and stated that he was now ushering the era of &quot;morality&quot; in the presidency, it would still be not enough.. I can only assume what would have followed had he done just that and not only because he is &quot;black&quot; : I leave the rest to your imaginations.. Gwaan choo Barack... Madd Demm!!!

The speech was called the &quot;Bullet or the Ballot Speech&quot; by historians.
In it Malcolm said that the racist government had those two choices, that the black man had those two choices.

The reality of course is that any sensible person knows that that choice is inoperable because the government would send in National Guard and the Army to crush any black revolution. Malcolm was using hyperbole and I'm sure he knew it as Malcolm just as he knew it when he became Malik.

So Malcom's followers were left with only the Hobson's Choice of the fox and the wolf as before.

What is still very operative and even more so as blacks become more subservient, more accepting of the slave owners religions, the economic system that allowed and prospered from slavery, the word of the president and government who wage wars on Third World countries and keep Africa dirt poor and starving. is Malcolmc quote calling those who fall for the fake ballot, that fake choice are:

The most uninformed and disinformed of all did not read his book, did not read any of his speeches PRIOR to 2007 and so did not know that he is dedicated to the establishment and was only nominated by the Democrat leadership because he was one of them and not an Al Sharpton or someone like his minister whom he disowned.

That minister was nothing like Malcolm X and Obama couldn't even show any loyalty to the clergyman he followed for years because the minister was considered too different from the mainstream, He was one of those &quot;dangerous &quot; blacks. .

Obama's ideals were and are no better than those of the Democrat Party or they would not have allowed you to vote for him.

He could close Guantanamo by executive order.
He could have TRIED to get single payer healthcare and he ran like a scalded cat from that.
HE is expanding the wars and extending the time we we be in several countries.
This is Obama's doing .

You just have to stop holding on to the thought that Obama is an agent of change, someone like his ex-minister or Malcolm X whom the establishment wouldn't have as a nominee in a million years.


You must expect Obama to be what all other presidents have been and to what they have done.

It is unreasonable to think otherwise.

I watched the speech that the president gave to the British parliament and three former prime ministers. I noticed that there was a lot of talk in the speech about history. Unless I am mistaken there was never a mention of slavery. I mean it is a huge part of the shared history (400 years worth) of both the United States and the United Kingdom. It (slavery) was what enabled these nations to become world powers. Thier greatness was built on the backs of brutalized slaves. Yet he, Barack Obama, a black man (or half black man) never mentioned the Africans, almost like they never existed. If he did not bring up that part of the shared past between the USA &amp; the UK, who will?

I would have been more proud of the president if he would have stood up and spoke about the history of the two parties involved in truths and not just give the white bread version of events.

If I have heard a more unlikely scenario than the one in which it was an informed electorate that elected Barak Obama, I can't remember it.

The average American has a ninth grade reading, comprehension and writing ability.
Most cannot pronounce Iraq or Iran correctly much less find it on a map with the names on it.
Most get their news and information from unreliable sources which they do not double check as a rule.

Something like 75% believe in angels.

Most went for the WMD big lie.

A huge percentage gives Creation equal footing with evolution.

A huge percentage have mandatory religious beliefs that carry over in their blind obedience to authority . The president has become as unquestionable as a Pope used to be to Catholics in the minds of a great many Americans.

as i have always said...it is in his interest to stay as far away as possible from issues such as slavery &amp; racism;

he is above all a politician-- he knows where his bread is buttered &amp; can not afford to bring up such unpleasant facts as true history; it would alienate his bread-butterers...same reason he threw jeremiah wright under the bus, when all wright did was speak truth...
politicians can not live on the truth- this is a known fact...
but we are so clouded by false 'pride' to see a 'black' man as prez we will never admit this;

now that he has publicized his irish roots with great fanfare, i wonder if he will make a similar visit to kenya in his presidential capacity

None of Obama's near relatives were slaves. His father was Kenyan and his mother a white Kansan.
As a well to do, Harvard educated, black man high up in the corrupt and powerful U.S political system he has neither the background, ancestry or racial consciousness to relate to the problems of the descendants of slaves.

There is another remote possibility that I hesitate to mention because it is so unlikely but what the hell:
Obama lacks the testicular fortitude required.

He cannot be seen as one of those dangerous and unacceptable angry black men like Jeremiah Wright or Al Sharpton and most certainly not like al Hajj Malik el Shabazz (whom his detractors call Malcolm X) or even MLK Jr.
Don't forget , the establishment killed two of these four men. That's how dangerous they were considered.
Does anyone here believe that were Obama anything like those two brave and principled heroes that the leadership of the (WHITE) Democrat Party would have put him up as THEIR candidate ?.


And the correct answer is: NO

The Dems would not have put him up as a candidate were President Hopey-Changey really interested in the things those four men spoke and still speak about.

As wonderful an example as you will find anywhere of the differing skill sets required to be an anonymous poster on a blog and those required to be President of the United States.
