Its easy and popular to beatup on JFJ, but when you appy some mental effort to it, its not the JFJ thats protecting criminals..

first of all....hello jamaicans.com,been awhile
Secondly.....this thread is very disturbing on many level.......admittedly I am not as bright as you all but I cant see the correlation between this heinous act and the JFJ
it seems to me these poor women might have seen something and had spoken to the cops.which makes them a snitch punishable by death in Jamaica today

Rich it would have an impact. It may not do away with crime, however it would surely alleviate it across the board. Dudes would think twice before they organize a &quot;hit&quot; when they come upon MASSIVE overwhelming force!

The State failed this woman. In return for the right not to bear arms she placed her trust in the Police force to protect her and as a result they failed to deliver. Now if she had her Shot gun or the people in the community had their own weapons, this would have ended differently.

Good sense in what you posted.
That cartoon is typical of right wing views in the U.S which usually go after the symptoms of a problem and not the cause.
This is because the wealthy own the media.
The wealthy back the economic system which makes them rich and creates the poverty which in turn creates gang violence.
So they point out things that do not make the economic system seem at fault.
It is to distract attention from that which needs attention: the neo-liberal economic system that does not work for the bulk of the population.

While you were able to see through the idiocy of that cartoon, just think about how many Jamaicans will agree with its premise.

Control the media and you control what people think.
