the fact is that the american & soviet space programs were started mainly with german former nazi scientists...
both countries knew they were playing a dirty game & both had dirt on each other...so they basically agreed to keep quiet regarding the dirtiest aspects (see Laika post above)...

The U.S. and the Soviets both used German rocket scientists who had the best knowledge at the end of WWII and the beginning of the Cold War.
That in itself means nothing .

All countries governments make light of things for which they can be criticized: they euphemise, lie, commit lies of omission etc. There is no conspiracy necessary.

Yes, there are conspiracies like the Kennedy assassination cover-up but these are few and far between because they are largely unnecessary as the imperialists manage to handle things quite well with brute force.
Conspiracies involving large numbers of people are exceedingly difficult to keep secret for very long unless you kill all people who might possibly spill the beans as with the Kennedy thing .
Conspiracies, as many and as bizarre as they can be to me belong in the same class as rumours. They start with a few shreds of fact and then extrapolate beyond all likelihood of being true as those bare bones of fact become embellished with possibilities and gossip, wishful thinking, pure imagination at times.
What to do?
Believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see.
If you do not have multiple independent sources with which to investigate a rumour or a conspiracy, it's best not to put much faith in it.
The fact is that there ARE a great many conspiracy theories out there that are complete fairy tales and to my way of thinking 99% of them are just what I said;
a few scraps of fact wound until round with imaginative BS.
What the bastards are doing is in the clear light of day. They don't hide their brutality.
Obama, the great black hope, is fighting six wars and killing people in six different countries to show what a baddass this country is, this empire is.
Why do they need to lie about something as non-consequential as landing a man on the moon ?
They control a great deal of the world because they have a great military machine.
They don't need conspiracies.
