Pentagon to Deploy 20,000 Troops Across States

In 2008 The Pentagon announced plans to deploy a 20,000 strong internal troop force inside the continental United States (CONUS) that was set to be trained by 2011, thus dovetailing into the current troop and equipment movements around the country reported by truckers as well as many more troop sightings by everyday citizens.

Interestingly enough, this plan directly correlates with a 2009, Army funded, Rand Corporation study that called for an internal United States police force to combat civil unrest.

Openly admitted by who ?

Show me any source that says US troops are to be given police powers within the United States. Show me <span style="font-style: italic">specifically</span> where that is stated by a representative of an agency of the US government.

As far as &quot;troop sightings&quot; are concerned, the US is the most militarized nation on earth. There are hundreds, probably more, Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine bases across the country. &quot;Sightings&quot; of troops is a common place phenomenon and has been for many years. Children on their way to school, let alone &quot;truckers&quot;, have &quot; troop sightings&quot;.
