Re: Everyone has a right, but....
Very Herman Cain of them. Being homeless is not a crime neither is being an addict. They are people in need of help and maybe if, as black people, those of us who have a roof over our heads and food in our pantries, extended help instead of criticising then maybe, just maybe, society would view us differently. Criminalizing these people is not the answer, some people fall into addiction through various methods, some have had a great job and a home and due to the economic downturn has lost it, but since that will never happen to some, they feel they can pass judgment.
I hope some of the people out there protesting, will not fall victim to the next massive layoffs that is about to hit the US economy. lol. The funny thing is that these homeless are just about as broken as they can get, it will be fun, however, to watch those once whole, being broken.
I am sorry, but i will not stop feeding homeless people whether they are downtown atlanta or in buckhead and i cd care less what homeoweners think.
Sometimes all a person needs is a warm meal, a little shelter and some compassion to give them a little hope.
I don't care where I am in life, i will never think of a man being less than me, so if i see someone in need, hungry, cold, or in need I am going to help, if they rob me of worldly posessions that's fine cuz the grace of god and God's recongition for what i have done for that person, is worth far more than what i cd have lost.
So, if, in my neighborhood, a coffee shop decides to feed the homeless, ima go in there and offer my services to help FOR FREE...
Then again, I'm human and some, well they just aren't.
