The athletic programs at some universities are so powerful (because of the amount of money that sponsorships and donations from alumni bring in) that their officials appear to be untouchable. I hope all the parents sue everybody including old Joe Paterno and that they all go to jail. My God man, why wouldn't anyone call the police ??? Bunch of dirtbags, alla dem.
Apparently it was one of the parents that eventually blew the whistle on this piece of garbage. (When the details come out, I am wondering how many others knew or suspected and said nothing.)

Prosecutors say Paterno alerted athletic director Tim Curley. Curley called in Gary Schultz, the university's senior vice president for finance and business. A week and a half later, both met with the graduate assistant, but never contacted police.
