Not only that it was PSM who recently brought up the <span style="font-weight: bold">Jamaican Queen</span> argument and even her Comrade Parliamentary Colleagues have been calling her the Jamaican Queen.

I agree G2K should not become a shrinking violet. What they should do is to develop a JLP Propaganda unit, to train its cadres and spread the JLP message, thereby freeing the JLP Candidates and Parliamentarians from explicit politicking. The JLP winning and losing Candidates should then engage their Constituents/potential Constituents on a more broad based social level.
The JLP Party needs to develop and foundation (like West Kingston Foundation), to offer training in a range of political and media skills to young Labourites, I would say as young as 14 years.
I think the only casualty G2K should suffer is the Mr. Severe-Wrong. I think he has been making mistakes since 2007. Even with that said, it is dishonest and irrational to expect G2K's Ad Campaign to win an Election where the elected Government had dug a hole so deep it would take the largest mining excavator to pull it out.

QUoting her and voicing your opinion on what she said is one thing. Jamaica has reached heights still unmet by most 'first world' countries. Regardless of what you think of her and her politics, we should all be proud of that accomplishment.

any time and any how you or anyone else want. pretty sure at some point i will be criticizing something about some action she takes that i disagree with. i wont be joining in the gratuitous stuff, that's all.

i think u have a different mindset than the young, self-important hotshots in g2k. i've worked with folks like that (political) - they are utterly deaf and blind to any criticism of their actions, because a) they believe their povs are always right and b) they think the people criticizing them are not their kind and therefore not worth listening to.

What are you saying here?
For one thing I have never called her the Jamaican Queen and I take no issues with her calling herself the Jamaican Queen, her colleagues calling herself the Jamaican Queen or anyone else calling her the Jamaican Queen.
What is a valid question is whether answer she gave in the debate means she really think that getting rid of the Queen=Getting rid of the Westminster system and further more doing so will automatically result in a Jamaican Queen?

First off, Comrade PSM and I are of one Party. She is Leader of the PNP, I am a supporter of the PNP. On reading this statement it appears, you are equating whatever heights you think Jamaica have reached, with Comrade PSM as a person. You are say insinuating that my criticism of her means I am not proud of Jamaica's accomplishments?

If I am overstanding what you have written here, you are dead wrong on all counts. First off, I don't know that we are in competition with other countries and (subject to your answer above), I am still trying to find out what heights we have reached that other countries (especially First World), ones, have not met.

Secondly, equating Jamaica's supposed rise with Comrade PSM the person, is nothing if not Cult Of Personality more akin to DPRK, than any forward looking Country.

Thirdly, the very real argument against Comrade PSM is that she seemingly does not believe in any progressive idea as reflected in the worsening conditions in her own Constituency (even with the location in one of the most industrialized square mile of Jamaica). This has been and will always (until conditions change), my contention, nothing more!

As far as I know, not many first world countries have elected a female head of state.

Milo, context is everything. also, the female heads of countries you have named, i don't recall that they are being mocked to the extent PSM is. granted, i don't live in those countries, and and i don't know whether Germans, for example, when they heard Angela Merkel was elected, started posting videos and other imagery designed to make her look like a fool. Certainly i don't recall that for the 6months or so Kim Campbell was Canada's prime minister.

i seem to recall a male first world leader being mocked constantly as a fool in the not too distant past.
