Ed Gallimore shot and killed
Jamaica Observer - Monday, February 13, 2012

POPULAR tourism personality, Edgar Gallimore, died in hospital this morning from gunshot wounds he received yesterday.

Gallimore was shot at an automated banking machine on Knutsford Boulevard about 3:30 pm.

Police report that Gallimore had withdrawn an undetermined sum of cash from the machine when he was pounced upon by a gunman upon leaving the booth. Gallimore was shot and the gunman escaped on a motorcycle.

He was taken to hospital where he was admitted in serious condition and succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

Gallimore has held a number of posts in the tourism industry including food and beverage manager at Knutsford Court Hotel, flight dispatcher and public relations officer at Air Jamaica and creative director at Petals and Promises LTD.

ohh God, me did read about this hold up yesterday, but he is now dead,

The usual reaction when a member of the select race is gunned down.
It is not suppose to happen after all he is well protected by the location. It is new Kingston. He is protected by the time..it is 3:30 pm snd he id protected by tge Police...
They have the power to protect the select. What could have gone wrong? Well there are no criminals among the ranks of the police and they have the ultimate interest in protecting the select.
In addition the victim had his licensed gun.
And the nuff people will confront criminal gunmen with just their bravery and nothing else..
Between him them and the police that should protect him from these criminals.

What in heavens name could have gone wrong.
