POLICE and residents were locked in a stand off in Cassava Piece community in Kingston following the fatal shooting of a woman in the community this morning.
The dead woman has been identified as Dianne Gordon, 45.
Residents claim the woman had just returned from a wake and went into her home when she was shot and killed.

<span style="color: #CC0000">More than 30 gunshot holes were found in the corrugated zinc fence that lines the home of the woman.</span>
Reports coming from police sources are that the woman was killed during an exchange of gunfire between police and gunmen in the area.

Residents have since refuted this claim and have taken to the streets in protest.
&quot;Kill them kill the woman in a cold blood,&quot; said one man from the area.

THE government pathologist is reporting that autopsies were conducted last week on the six persons who died in the March 12 shooting incident in Denham Town.
The six persons are:
Ramon Stern, 28;
Nikita Cameron, 13;
George Edmonds, 74;
Shawn Tyrell, 25;
Karlton Alvaranga, 26;
Wesley Simpson, 84.
The autopsies revealed that all six persons died due to gunshots wounds, four from multiple gunshots and two due to a single gunshot wound each.
The autopsy performed on Nikita Cameron ruled out pregnancy, as was reported in sections of the media.

Something to think about. A law-abiding citizen should use wisdom and move to another community to get out of harms way. Of course, this sounds easier than it may actually be, and most people get lulled to sleep by relatively long periods of calmness.

the more times i read the comment the more heartless it sounds. you are dealing some of the least fortunate people in the country and telling them if they don't want to get murdered by the state then move?

You may be thinking of East Kirkland Heights where Keith Clarke was murdered by soldiers for reasons that are still not clear.

He had several the most well-known was/is at Plantation Heights.
But remember the argument was that Keith Clarke was killed because Dudus or one of the confederates own a house <span style="font-weight: bold">West Kirkland Height</span>s or that Mr. Clarke may have worked for the Syndicate?
