he's playing a politically savvy game. there is a lot of <span style="text-decoration: line-through"> voters and money </span> support for him in espousing such views. it is the politically correct thing to do.

i think it would have been more politically savvy to continue to wink wink agree with it but not say so publicly, and still have the gay/lesbian and christian black vote on lock.

it's symbolic, which is fine. everyone knows that states will continue to make their own decisions when it comes to gay marriage.

the man said his daughters pretty much helped change his views (as well as some of his friends)

As a mother, I don't find that so hard to believe.

the preachers mobilize round election time. a gay republican is almost as rare as a black repulican imo. me nuh think Obama can afford to be throwing away votes in these times.

I think it was a bad decision. He could hav straddled di fence right into di election. He handed Romnneeee ah lotta votes from some Black, Churches, Republican who support him, etc..... Come on now! Who else was di Gays going tuh vote for Romney, who already made it clear dat him is totally against dem lifestyle?

the thought did cross my mind but considering how important the &quot;right to vote&quot; is to blacks, them might put him personal views aside. But then again yuh never know.
Mi can't see why this would affect them vote, since him cannot do a striking thing to enforce it at the federal level.
