Mr Witchy <span style="text-decoration: underline">cried</span> when he read this thread. Tears from an Aspie (someone with Asperger Syndrome - a form of autism that prevents the person from feeling any emotion) is indeed a rare thing! Even Mr Witchy understands on the cerebral level, if not emotional level, that he 'should' - if his brain was 'normal' - feel the love shown to him here on J'com. He's grateful to all of unnu.

Mr Witchy had an appointment with a retina surgeon this morning, to have his eyes and sight checked again. Some of the people in the waiting room were driving me totally insane... as in I was coming lose to maybe attacking one in particular. I'm under a great deal of stress. Obviously. I'm back on nicotine,after not smoking for nearly 30 years. At least I'm using e-cigs.

Anyway... in this tiny, close waiting room, one man was banging his head against the wall repetitively; no one was stopping it. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. The plaster wall was shaking. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Another man and his woman were watching a boxing match <span style="font-weight: bold">very loudly</span> on his droid phone; the noise of the screaming fans and the ringside bell was annoying as hell. Screams. DING. DING. DING. Screams. DING. DING. DING. Screams. DING. DING. DING. An old woman was arguing with herself; no, she was not on a cell phone bluetooth! &quot;God is here with me! No He's not, He's forsaken me. He doesn't exist. There is no God. Yes, there is, He's here with me. He's here with me! No, there is no God. There is, but He's forsaken me. No, he doesn't exist! I was no longer sure...
I was about ready to kill the man subjecting the rest of us to his loud and obnoxious boxing match! (And I love boxing!)

I got up and went to the front desk, and fixed the receptionist - who was obviously no going to do a thing to stop the bedlam going on in the waiting room before her - with my famous stare, and said quietly, but firmly, &quot;I need a place to sit in peace and quiet, before I hurt someone. I'm not joking.&quot;
She quickly brought me inside the office, and asked the doctor what to do with me... she summed up what was going on in his waiting room.

He first went out to see for himself what was going on out there. he then came back inside, and told her to put me in his office. he followed me in, and asked me if I was going to be okay or if I needed anything. I told him i'd be just fine if left alone in peace.

I heard him go back out to the waiting room. I heard him talking, but not what he said. The boxing match noises stopped. The banging slowed down significantly. I heard him say that God was everywhere a couple of times.

If I have to face another visit to that doctor, I will kill someone, I swear! Mr Witchy will have to take taxi to that doc. I just can't do it again. I've 'smoked' 3 e-cigs to empty in the last 4 1/2 hours -- that's the nicotine equivalent of 6 freakin' packs of cigarettes!! Dear God!! At this rate, I'm gonna die next week!
I cannot handle this much stress!

Sorry to hear Witchy. I pray Mr. Witchy has a complete and speedy recovery. Thankfully you both survived the crash. Were you hurt at all in the crash?

No, Pepper, not unless you count my heart -- which broke at the sight of my beloved antique Oldsmobile Cutlass Brougham, which I just finished restoring all of the bodywork on (not the paint, yet, mercifully), all dented, creased, and banged up. I also lost the side mirror, which was broken, probably beyond repair. Dunno where the hell I'm gonna get an original replacement mrror for the old Cutty... Don't think even a white metal solder will hold it together safely; it's broken in half pretty badly along the stem. sniff sniff
Back to square one. Again. All that hard-earned money and all that hard work, right down the drain. *sigh*

My Babycakes is sulking in my garage. I've promised Babycakes another restoration as soon as I can afford it... but I'm gonna have to rob bank. And Babycakes knows it. <span style="font-weight: bold">:-/</span> I can do maybe half of the work myself - banging out the biggest dents, etc. Then, i'll have to take Babycakes back to the Restoration Specialist Body Shop. *sigh* Driver's side front fender, driver's door, driver's side rear door, driver's side rear fender, driver's side bumper (the corner), the side mirror... this really sucks!

I'm not injured. But my beloved Babycakes sure is!

<span style="font-size: 11pt">I've since replaced the old vinyl roof with the original light 'ice blue' vinyl, for the original two-tone look. The dark blue is the original paint color. All of the rust spots, the dents and dings, etc, were fixed. All that was left to do was to repaint the car, paint the white rally wheels the same dark blue as the original rally wheels were, and find the front clip (just the part behind the front grille, not the whole front end)... and put the unbroken front grille that I've got on... and it'd be finished - ready for shows. Now I have to start all over again! sigh</span>

Thanks. I know my car will get restored again, sooner or later. And, in the end, much as I love it - it <span style="font-style: italic">is</span> just a car...

I'm very thankful to have my husband, and in reasonably good shape - all things considered.
