Jamaica is not trying to <span style="font-weight: bold">lower</span> consumption. Jamaica is trying various fix in the hopes of <span style="font-weight: bold">affording</span> consumption.
This will all come to naught. Not LNG. Coal or Nuclear.......None of the foregoing will solve the problems of affordable energy, other than conservation and renewables.
Coal. LNG and or Nuclear will have to be paid for, just like the current sources. While this is going on conventional wisdom says Jamaicans will continue to increase, social use of electricity exponentially, thereby eroding any monetary savings.
