not only that...their is not so much promotion in the states...when dese artistes here have tings coming out dem deh pan di radio and every striking tv show long before dem launch...if dese artistes waan compete wid di US ones dem need fi play di game di sed way like dem

the only song I've ever hear from him was some weed song he did a few years back. Maybe he has fans in Italy and Europe. Him and genkleman have a song together. Maybe they can start the &quot;signing with a strange jamaican accent using akward patois sometimes&quot; fan club.

from what I heard and read I don't think he is faking it,

He moved to Jamaica not speaking English so the english he learned was patios. the awkwardness comes the same way any ESL person at times will speak/put together sentences.

This man is a liar. I have 2 great-grandparents that moved to Jamaica not knowing English and NEITHER of them spoke English the way this man speaks English. I don't know which part of &quot;country&quot; this man learned to speak Patois, but what he is speaking is not Patois, it is just English with a Jamaican flavour.

And with all the varieties to Jamaican patois do you really believe you have the right to call the person a liar because they don't speak the way your family speaks? Patois is not standard and yes there are English influences and for some people their patois may have a little more English mixed in but that does not make it any less patois than yours...

Any I mean any real Jamaican knows this is nothing like country Patois.
For someone who claims to have learnt country Patois, this sounds like
he learnt English out of a book to me. And took some classes.

This is English with a few Patois mix-ins. If it is mostly English to the point
that an English person can understand it quite fine, it is not Patois it is just
wrong English.

And if you speak Patois like this, you don't know Patois either. Standards don't give
give people common sense.
