So while I agree that saying someone look more mid-eastern than Jamaican is an idiotic statement, please believe that many Jamaicans think that way.

Maybe I should clarify. Marginalise in my statement means &quot;considering them not Jamaican.&quot; I probably used a word that is too broad in scope.



Colourism is engrained in Jamaican culture (for over 400 year probably). But that has nothing to do with &quot;looking Jamaican.&quot;

this is how misunderstanding starts in the world...

i have never said i have anything against straight hair; it probably fits her better depending on your beholding eye...and she obviously changes her hairstyle from time to time-- no crime in that;

only thing i am against is chronic obsessive worship of physical characteristics which are foreign to one's own natural make-up...whether it's hair, skin, eyes, body parts, color, race, whatever;

You are something else. You deserve a Phd in twisting words. I never criticized Sean Paul's accent. In another thread, another boardite posted videos to show that his accent was much stronger before he started travelling....no news there. That happens to a lot of people.

No one has <span style="font-weight: bold">EVER</span> said that Sean Paul is not Jamaican (why would anyone say anything so irrational :foofool.) In fact Sir makabush the only person who is going around labeling everyone and every idea that you disagree with as foreign is you.

I said he looks Middle Eastern, HE said he looks a little Arab....this tanget is closed.

A focus for another discussion is the mentality that makes some Jamaicans White minded and ashamed of their African heritage. That discussion already exists on the board and it was not started by me.

Thank heavens your colourist, ashamed to be Black mentality is disappearing in Jamaica as the dinosaur thinking generations pass on to the hereafter.
