Yes her ancestors treated our ancestors abominably and wreaked havoc around the world. Yes she and her descendants have repeated the benefits and the wealth that was harvested as a result.

No, they have not apologized or taken any steps to share the wealth with us.

There have been improvements in Britain (not enough but improvements still). Can you not cut de people dem slack fi 4 days to enjoy dem celebration? Life is too short man and you don't have to battle every strikin' day. We can return to the battle and the calls for reparations tomorrow.

know that any historical queen, or king or emperor, doesnt get to that position without ruthless acts being committed, by them or or their forebears, along the way. regardless of race, nationality, etc....

I honestly don't give the monarchs much thought. I suppose they provide some tourism for Great Britain but aside from that I cannot see any value for keeping them. Anyway.... I hope Prince Willy nah have any of his papa's twisted morals when it comes to marriage and will do right by Kate. I hope dem nuh frig her up like dem did Princess Di.

This has NOTHING to do with whether or not one supports the monarchy...I know I don't. I am talking about the celebrations. Why can't you just enjoy the beauty of the celebrations for 4 days? There is nothing in this world that is 100% perfect or 100% bad. If you wait for that, it will never happen.

Then go ahead and bun fiyah. Refuse to enjoy moments of beauty because the world is not perfect and all injustices haven't been righted.

As for me, I will bun fiyah but that won't stop me from pausing to experience moments of joy. I have enjoyed the horse pageant which I saw for the first time today, the music, the fireworks, the gun salutes, and the river pageant and I make no apologies for that.
