Father has worked full time throughout my son's life. I had a full time job for the first 7 years of his life but quit to start my own business. Every business has it's ups and downs depending on the economy. Certainty, even in slow times, there has been enough to support my son. Mother, father and grandparents have worked as a team to see to it that he had everything he needed as well as private school, all kinds of sports, etc. He has worked part time (his idea) since age 12 when he saw someone holding up a $5 pizza sign and said "I could do that". He convinced the owner of the pizzeria to hire him. He has not needed an allowance since age 12.
