No tropi.. only u have an issue with my Taino heritage! And

also when a a forgien example is applied to Jamaica it does not fit...

The simple truth is that for the past 50 years girls had out performed boys at age 11 CEE and GSAT. girls have had better exam results at 0'levels and CXC.. Ladies have had better results at CAPE and A'levels...More ladies graduate from Jamaican tertiary insitutions. (since Rich D times at UWI)....fewer women migrate.. Simply look at school teachers, the proportion of female teachers..

Having done some buisness recently in Jamaica.. it was striking at the number of buinsess women, vets, doctors, lawyers who are female... compared to the states or any where but say the scandinavian countries....

also this will be the model in alot of African ountries in the next decades.. Especially in buisness.. In Africa the countries only function because of women inspite of the men! AfrHIV as well as the identical pressures that are in Jamaica have devastated the maele population... in the last few decades..

Five years ago there was a report by the JCF at the lack of viable male candidates for as trainees, and they had to bench mark to recruit more men..With women out perfoming men.....This means that there weill there are an increasing number of middle ranking police women..

Nothing about this is new. AA families spent money and time to raise their daughters properly, dance lessons, proper speech and decorum, but then left their sons to basically raise themselves. After all this effort, who were all these elegantly raised young women to marry?

Walhalla, I have a problem with ANYONE thinking one should accept what they say on face value without independent proof...this goes for ANYONE on ANY topic!

what do u consider independent proof ? The word of my mother and father and great grand father ???? A website... a geneology...(That I can recite back to an estimated 700 years it gets hay when they start confusing the Kalingo/ Ciboney/ Taino mythical figures and gods coupling with mythical beasts which are alogorical I beleive for migratory patterns... ...My real name is derivation of Canoe...

I am Taino...I could claim to be a Mexican....or Belizian..or Columbian or Spanish..

Now if he had accepted that there was no such creatures we would have still thought the Spanish were gods! But that story ilustrates the Baconian aproach to proving that falicy of gods....

No it is not a good thing.. Just that it is silly when feminists talk about &quot;uplifting&quot; women, they are missing the point in the Jamaican paradigm...As men fall further behind....The focus should be to raise men academic achievements to mirror those of women... As more women climb the corporate ladder, there should be a push to invest in men.... Last figure I saw was UWI graduates was 85% female and I dont have the website link!.

I have a Jamaican builder fren who prefers to use female labourers than men.. His claim is that htere is less pilfering...

and I dont think Jamaicans invest less in boys than girls... quite the contatary...

Like I said we are not re-hashing that discussion.

I am merely stating that just because someone says something is not proof that it is true. This relates to ANY topic.

This discussion is about whether or not JA should be high on the best places to be a woman list. I think not.
