I was actually surprised that sharapova almost got a double bagel. she isn't always confident and sometimes choke. I mean Serena just rolled right over her.
for these 2 players in the final, I expected a 3 setter with both of them fighting to the end.
but clearly serena showed up on a mission and that was to win gold.

Yes! Venus scored a few good points, but I noticed she seemed to be in a bit of pain, especially in the 1/4 finals. Anyway, congratulations to the both of them. They did well.
