You know who always carries themselves with dignity...Asafa Powell, Donald Quarrie and Donovon Bailey. They need to school some of these other guys.

I was absoultely thrilled for Bolt till he started flying off his mouth and messing around with White girls and trashy Black girls (in whom he has clearly now lost interest).

That's my point...I have seen it time and time again. Blondes can get away with anything. All it takes is for a Black woman to be flustered and rushed and you have some White administrative assistant running to the boss to complain. Believe you me I have seen it and personally experienced it.

Naomi got into big trouble in Toronto over some administrative assistant. They say she tried to push her out of a car. Some of them dyam provoking yes. Some of these same gyals who mek trouble fi Black professional women are screwing Black guys.

Anyway, they say that Cole is having trouble getting a visa to the USA because of her criminal record. I suppose Bolt will get her all set for Jamaica after he gets his wish of rooksin her.

Linford Christie, Carl Lewis, Donovan Bailey, Maurice Greene, Michael Johnson.without exception they believed themselves to be #1 and were strutting around like the peacock in their time. The only ones who were not cocky were the second tier sprinters who never quite made it to no. 1 or made it no. 1 and never stayed on the throne for long - see Asafa Powell as exhibit A of this.

I heard Bob Costas say last night he doesn't think it is possible for anyone to have a higher opinion of Usain Bolt than Bolt has of himself. Well he has bought into the hype machine because in spite of the primping and posing for the cameras and the hyperbole if you listen and watch Bolt closely you realize that he really does not take himself that seriously. He's playing a role that comes with the being the best sprinter in the world. Don't let it go over your head.

Donovan Bailey was one of the cockiest mofos on the planet. I recall the 150M race he did against Michael Johnson to settle who was really the fastest in the world. When Johnson pulled up in the race when it was clear Bailey was going to win Bailey called him a pu...sy on national TV. So much for dignity. Never hear no bad words fly out of Bolt mouth...yet.

He did not. He said when Johnson pulled up mek im tek im licks like a man. I remember it well as it was in Toronto and I was across the street at CBC headquarters at the time and there was a giant screen.

Rogge apologizes and calls Bolt a legend:

Rogge raised eyebrows earlier this week when he said the Jamaican runner needed to prove his greatness over more than two Olympics before achieving his self-proclaimed status of “living legend.”

On Sunday, Rogge relented a bit and came up with a different wording for the six-time gold medalist.

“I mean this is purely a semantic issue,” he said. “Let me finalize this issue as follows: to say that Usain Bolt is an active performance legend, he is an icon, he is the best sprinter of all time.

Usain Bolt saved the sport of track and fields. Yes he is a braggart and his achievements in this and the previous Olympics do prove that he is a legend, until that time 'til some other athlete comes around and beat his achievements.

As of this Olympics, Bolts profess as an athlete, his actions and his things he say will here on be scrutinized.

I am not taking anything away from his accomplishments...in fact <span style="font-size: 11pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">in the opening post, I focused very little on a lapse in judgement in calling himself a legend. I am surprised that is where comments are focusing.</span></span> I had a short phrase referring to that.

My main point is that he doesn't seem to understand what it means to be a Black man and he is buying hte hype. He is partying with and rooksin White girls, turning his back on Black women. He has been going around saying he wants to party with Princes William and Harry and he has invited them to come down to Jamaica to party with him. Just because Prince Harry interacted with him on an official visit does not men he and dem a friend.

My main point in posting this is that he just doesn't &quot;get it&quot;. Whatever one accomplishes as a Black man is discounted so one had better not be so quick to push up one self pon white people and turn your back on your own.<span style="font-weight: bold"> THAT </span>is my main point here....and yes he could show more humility like our female athletes do and like the young Warren Weir did. It's great that he puts on a show but wait for others to big you up don't big up yourself.


Rogue...yes Rogue not Rogge, did not give Usain an out and out endorsement as a legend. It was a watered down, half hearted attempt to cover his tracks.

I must say that Brian Williams on CTV has really been giving Usain the recognition he deserves...good for him. He also commended the UK Olympic team for being truly multi-cultural. Good for him. There is hope.
