Obviously I did not watch the GOP Convention, but I saw Clink speech.
I think any serious student of politics should watch it.
It is more an indictment on the GOP and Conservatives that it is on the POTUS.

His opening comment was on Jobs. ....Any Capitalists will tell you that it is not the Government's duty to create jobs and worse prop up failing industries. This is going directly against Conservatives opposition to big Government.

He knocks POTUS on Gitmo, turns around and admits that he did not want to see it closed anyway. He then tease about trying terrorists in New York City. Proving that closing Gitmo is out of the reach of any President of the USA, now or in the future.

Near the end of his drunken ramble he teases the President on him being an environmentalist, yet taking the Presidential Transport to talk to school children about student loans. Again he admits right away that he is being hypocritical, because he would do the same.

No POTUS can opt out of Presidential Transportation/Security, no matter how environmentally and politically incorrect it is. Unless you are some sort of, ultra-Left masochist.

It seems to I Clint is one of those closet haters, that when they finally get the chance to (in friendly company), they cut loose and tell us what is really on their mind.

Yes I did see Clint, and yes it was a weak attempt at humor.

As Gen stated his knowledge is limited, nothing more than the ramblings of an old man.

I hope no thinking person votes Republican because of Clint's speech. Then again, many Americans love his shoot em up, tough guy image and will eat it up.

<span style="font-weight: bold">A new Public Policy Polling survey shows the presidential race in North Carolina tied at 48 percent</span>.
<span style="font-weight: bold">The poll -- released Monday -- from the Democratic firm </span>was taken after the Republican National Convention in Florida. N.C. registered voters were evenly split three ways on the RNC between whether it made them more or less likely to support Republicans, or didn't make a difference.
The results fit within others showing a tight race. <span style="font-weight: bold">A Elon poll released Monday gave Romney a one-point lead. </span>Romney doesn't appear to get a bounce from his party's convention but his image did improve in the last month. <span style="font-weight: bold">Voters are now evenly split on whether they view him favorably or unfavorably, with his positive marks increasing</span>. An August poll showed him with a negative eight point spread with half viewing him unfavorably and 42 percent favorably. Obama's images hasn't changed with views about evenly split.

I always wonder where they get these polls that tell me what I'm doing or thinking---especially when they've never polled me...
I'm sure Romney has very little support among &quot;blacks&quot; but this is hyperbole and media manipulation

If you exclude one class of Americans for attaining the Presidency surely you can do worse than a lawyer by choosing a money grubbing, lying vulture Capitalist. One of the most celebrated President was a lawyer from Illinois and a Republican.

Yes and Afghanistan....nothing demonstrates Clink's dishonesty (senility), than the did on Afghanistan. First off it was not Barack that entered that war. Secondly as long as Bin Laden was out there, no USA President could get out of Afghanistan.
But the worse argument against any GOP supporter bringing up Afghanistan is this.

Many folks did tell them to consult the Soviets. But it was the USA that helped defeat the Soviets in Afghanistan by arming the Taliban. Not only that could any USA President go to war cooperate with a State (Russia/USSR) that the USA has been perpetually at war with?
