The story:

An emerging scandal surrounding Dinesh D’Souza, the conservative who has been forging ahead with his anti-Obama documentary, surrounds a much, much younger woman, who is not his wife.

D’Souza is a staunch defender of marriage, as long as it’s between heterosexuals. Most evangelical-type defenders of heterosexual marriage, believe that same sex marriage will in fact, destroy all marriages — and sometimes be the cataclysmic effect for the end of the world. Go figure. But, this man, like many anti-gay Conservatives before him, has ruined his own marriage sans help from others being in love and marrying their partner.

His <span style="font-weight: bold">lover/mistress is a twenty something female</span>, with a blog which has been deleted, but welcome to the Internet.

Point well taken Vannie...we have a lot of these self-hating East Indian types up here in Toronto who feel they need a blonde to carry them off and is interesting that he has selected a bleach blonde who is equally self-loathing. Some of dem wid de Portuguese names really confused and feel tse de White.

After a marathon meeting to decide his fate, the board of trustees of<span style="font-weight: bold"> The King’s College, a small evangelical college based in Manhattan</span>, announced Thursday that conservative author Dinesh D’Souza had resigned as the school’s president. Former president and current chairman Andy Mills, who made the announcement to faculty and staff members, will return as interim president for a third time.

D’Souza came under fire Tuesday when World magazine revealed that he was <span style="font-weight: bold">engaged to a 29-year-old woman while still married to his wife of 20 years</span>.

This scandal is one that implicates not just one man, but rather the entire Christian community. Whether it’s evangelical Churches who tolerate divorce and remarriage well outside any allowance that can be inferred from the Scriptures, or American Catholics who use annulments as “Catholic divorce,” we Christians have failed to spell out a clear discipline concerning divorce and remarriage. The wonder is not that D’Souza was allegedly engaged to and staying with a woman before his divorce was finalized; it’s that divorce and remarriage could become such routine features of Christian life in the first place.

Dinesh D’Souza, the man behind the misleading sleeper hit 2016: Obama’s America, is dealing with an embarrassing personal situation seemingly in conflict with his status as a culture warrior, as he has allegedly been caught out staying overnight in a hotel with a woman (who he is said to have introduced as his fiancée) who is not his wife.

Dinesh D’Souza has been married to Dixie D’Souza, nee Brubaker, since 1992, and the couple have one daughter. So why was D’Souza spotted at a conference checking into the Comfort Suites with a twenty-something conservative blogger named Denise Odie Joseph II? One Evangelical magazine blew the lid off the story, seeking answers from D’Souza after the allegations surfaced.

Salon quotes the publication, World, as exposing D’Souza’s alleged infidelity:

“Although D’Souza has been married for 20 years to his wife, Dixie, in South Carolina he was with a young woman, Denise Odie Joseph II, and introduced her to at least three people as his fiancée … Finally, near 11 p.m., event organizer Tony Beam escorted D’Souza and Joseph to the nearby Comfort Suites. Beam noted that they checked in together and were apparently sharing a room for the night in the sold-out hotel. The next morning, around 6 a.m., Beam arrived back at the hotel and called up to D’Souza’s room. ‘We’ll be down in 10 minutes,’ D’Souza told Beam. D’Souza and Joseph came down together, and Beam took them to the airport.”

Dinesh D’Souza is president at Evangelical King’s College in New York, and the organization is said to be “looking into the situation” involving D’Souza’s alleged affair.

After the story broke, the conservative muckraker is said to have “suspended” his engagement to Joseph, owing to the fact he has not yet obtained a divorce or annulment for his marriage to Dixie. As for Joseph, a Facebook page reported to belong to D’Souza’s alleged companion shows a public post promoting the conservative commentator’s hit film.

Wonkette grabbed a quote from Joseph’s blog decrying hypocritical married men with weak morals, in which she is said to have bleated:

Again I think the number one cause of divorce marriage... Marriage as defined and managed by the state... Many ppl who have gotten married should never have gotten married or married to the spouse they are divorcing but it was made easy by the govt. And with so many benefits tied to marriage even &quot;Christians&quot; are getting pulled into the trap so they can live. Hey I can get out of this or play this game as soon as I change my mind so what the heck... lets do it ... traditional wedding vows are even being discarded to fit the craze. Again many &quot;Christians&quot; are defining their Christianity by what their church doctrine allows or their pastor says instead of biblical principles so it's a general free for all

I disagree...I think the main reason marriages are failing is that men are choosing partners with the wrong head. Like it or not, it is the man who does the choosing and initiating. When so many of them are focused on hunting down blonde bimbos who will drop baggy and look good on their arms, they are not taking the time to assess the true qualities that will make a woman a good wife and mother. I have been sounding the alarm about this for a long time. When a supposedly Christian man picks a woman with her boobs hanging out or, heaven forbid, one who poses naked for magazine covers (like Lolo Jones) what does he expect, it shows something is off course with his values...and hers. Look at what Wayne Gretzky is going through.

In Canada I see Christian men (white) relegating Black women to the do not date pile. I see some Black and East Indian men going after fi dem trophy wives. What do you expect? Of course the dolly house going mash up when she wants to party and show off her boobs instead of fulfilling the role of wife and mother.

Not necessarily. There are some from Goa and the South of India who are mixed with Portuguese. Some of them migrated to the Caribbean and nuff of them are confused and think dem White.

Protecting the identity and interest of his dwindling community is uppermost in the mind of Charles Dias as he prepares to take oath as a nominated Anglo-Indian member of the Lok Sabha Thursday.

Dias, of Portuguese descent, will take oath along with another Anglo-Indian, Ingrid Mcleod, who has been re-nominated to the lower house of the Indian parliament for the second time.

“We are losing our culture, language and everything. We are not able to follow our customs. We are facing an identity crisis,” said Dias, 59, who was nominated as Lok Sabha MP in September.

According to Article 331 of the Indian constitution, two members from the Anglo-Indian community should be nominated to the Lok Sabha. Apart from Dias and Mcleod, Raj Babbar of the Congress party, who won the by-poll from Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh, will also take oath Thursday, the first day of the winter session. Their oath taking will complete the numbers in the 545-member lower house.

Dias, who belongs to Kochi in Kerala, is worried at the “dilution” in the community, including in its customs and culture.

“The Anglo-Indian community members are scattered across the country, and they are getting diluted through marriages outside the community,” Dias told IANS.

The strength of the Anglo-Indian community in India is currently 450,000, while almost an equal number - 400,000 - live abroad, an indication of the large numbers that have migrated in the last few decades.

<span style="font-weight: bold">“The Anglo-Indians, who were earlier called Eurasians, are the people who were born to the Indian wives of Europeans,” he said. According to Dias, the evolution of the community started since Portuguese sailor Vasco da Gama arrived in Kozhikode, Kerala, in 1498.

“The Europeans, including French, British, Germans and Dutch who arrived in India took local Indian women as wives due to a lack of women in their country at the time,” Dias said.</span>

<span style="font-weight: bold">The Anglo-Indians, over the generations inter-married to form the community. It paved the way for the development of a new culture - a combination of European and Indian customs, <span style="font-size: 14pt">but more European</span>, said Dias.</span>

The Anglo-Indian customs, their cuisine, dress, language and ceremonies - marriage, funeral and baptism - are different from the local Roman Catholic customs.

“We have been following our customs for centuries. We are not copying the Europeans. We are an Indian community - clearly defined as per Article 266 (2) of the Constitution,” Dias said.

He said there were many reasons for the community’s identity crisis.

“<span style="font-weight: bold">We marry only among the community. </span>But for a family settled in a city where the community has no presence, finding a match from the community for their children is very difficult. They are forced to marry outside the community. Thus the community gets diluted,” said Dias, a Congress party worker.

<span style="font-size: 14pt"><span style="font-weight: bold">He is also upset at the younger generation of Anglo-Indians marrying outside the community.</span></span>

“If they continue with this, they will lose their identity,” Dias said.

He said as an MP his first effort would be to co-ordinate among all the Anglo-Indian leaders from the various states.
