China is jus another kind of exploitation.

china will lend you money to build the road ..but you have to use their companys ..you have to employ their people and at the end of the day you still own dem the money and only a handful of your people see any of it. it just another angle of the same game.

It is not exploitation when you are gaining real and tangible benefits...
Its not expliotation when they are will to barter to your strengths...

China has aid in the overthrow of colonialism in Africa..
The Africans for the most part do not view their trade with China as exploitive
China's trade with Africa is roughly 60% minerals and oil coming out and 40% Equipment and tool building machinery into Africa.
It boils down development vs underdevelopment....China allows for development while European still encourage underdevelopment.



Do not get me wrong,,,Africa must be vigilant cause China is not doing this out of altrusim but because of their economic model, policy and philosophy and overriding economic needs....should any of these change China could become like Europe

since when was this done by troops alone...they are on several fronts...somalia...they prop up guys like museveni in uganda and kagami in rwanda...they had a hand in creating south sudan...they had a huge hand in destabilizing libya which fueled the tuareg situation in mali & other parts of west/north africa...france just sent in military the other day in ivory coast...
they have set up drone patrols in north africa...they have AFRICOM!!!

china's presence was gained mostly by engaging the africans-- not that china does not have its own motives & shenanigans...but the history of europe & european-america in afrika makes it ridiculous for anyone to compare their actions in afrika with the chinese...

TRUTH IS STRANGER THAN FICTION

The worst part of all this is the priceless manuscripts that were destroyed by the Islamist and now the rest will be stolen by the French.
Back in the 70's I read a book that said all of Isaac Newtons theory came from a book he purchased in Mali and also that language of the Ancient Egyptians was never dead but that all this information was hidden in Mali - I the time I doubt it until various members of certain Malian families started going public with these books. It was said that when the first European came to Mali in search of the fable university of sankore(timbuctu) what they would do is kill all who could read the language of ancient Egypt and take the manuscipts....there was said to a Malian professor of yore who was imprison and force to translate and teach Europeans how to read the Hierogyphics on pain of death
Now these people just started coming forward with thousands of these manuscripts and look the killings have began again...Timbuctu was under the socalled Islamist for months now the French...WOW
Many of the Malians said it was too early to begin the revelation...my guess now is those were right.

The French government sent troops to Mali in mid-January at the request of a government struggling to thwart the advance of Islamist and foreign rebels.
Ham, leader of the U.S. Africa Command, said at Howard University in Washington that mistakes were made during a U.S.-Malian military training program. Capt. Amadou Sanogo, who led a military coup in early 2012, was trained by U.S. military forces.
"(This is) very worrisome for us," he was quoted by the Defense Department's news service as saying.
Mali lost control of northern regions of the country following the coup. Foreign and al-Qaida fighters have declared autonomy for the area.
French advocacy group International Federation for Human Rights stated this week it confirmed that Malian forces carried out summary executions and other abuses during their rebellion

There is more than one way to achieve the same goal. The Dragon needs arable land, energy and access to natural resources to continue to grow. Africa still has all three in abundance.

Every country needs something...the west has a clear history of violence and disrespect in Africa....the west has to deal with china...it is unrealistic to think that Africa would not have to deal with china...

China is not the problem, Africa is...
as long as Africa remains weak and dis unified anyone will be able to take advantage of that...it is up to the African gov'ts to procure deals that benefit the country at the same time that the Chinese seek their aims
