Jamaicans love crak-hed Politicians!Originally posted by My Looh View PostI caught the piece they did on the Mayor on CNN this evening. I couldn't help but notice that the members of the public who gathered around during the interview were largely Jamaican and almost all are still staunch Rob Ford supporters.

Mayor Rob Ford says Toronto is lucky terrorists didn't target city during one of his binges
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford admits it's only a matter of good luck that terrorists haven't targeted the town when he was off on a binge-filled bender. Ford said the 2.7 million people of Toronto are "very fortunate" that he hasn't been severely intoxicated at important times for the town but insisted that his drunken binges don't occur every weekend.
During an interview with Matt Lauer on the "Today" show, the mayor repeated talking points from his multiple media appearances: He's not a crack addict, he is full of faults and imperfections, and he remains defiant in the face of a city council determined to unseat the politician.
"I'm not perfect, I've admitted to my mistakes," he told Lauer on the NBC morning show, adding that he "absolutely" wants to keep his post.
Ford's brother, Toronto City Councilor Doug Ford, appeared alongside the 44-year-old for the interview. Though a staunch defender of the mayor, Doug Ford did say his brother's weekend binges are "concerning."
"When he goes on a binge drinking and I hear about it, yeah it's concerning," Doug Ford said, but Rob Ford quickly corrected his brother's statement — "let's retract that ... not every weekend."
Doug Ford also said his brother hasn't been "100% honest" with the people of Toronto but has done more good than harm to the town, saving taxpayers more than $1 billion since taking office in December 2010.
"Show me any mayor in North America, right this second, that has done what he has done," Doug Ford said.
Mayor Ford has denied he struggled with addiction, saying he is not in treatment for drug or alcohol abuse but is in a weight-training program.
"I have a weight issue, I've been training every day. All I can say Matt, is actions speak louder than words. I invite you to come back, give me five or six months and if you don't see a difference, I'll leave my work," he told Lauer.
Ford is struggling to hold onto power this week after Toronto City Council stripped the disgraced leader of most of his powers.
An angry fracas erupted at a chaotic city council vote Monday, when Ford nearly knocked down a fellow councilor during a melee.

Jesus H. Christ. He's willing to commit to an effing American tv show host, but not to the people of Toronto, or the council that Toronto elected. He's a real piece of work. All I can say Matt, is actions speak louder than words. yes. i know he's not planning on stepping down. i'm just flabbergasted that with all the times he told media in toronto and city council members that he's not stepping down, he has the gall to turn around and tell Matt Lauer that he (Robbie) will step down if he (Matt) doesn't see a difference in six months.Originally posted by Suesumba View Postyou know it's all bull plop right?
Does he even understand the concept of accountability?
