Read these carefully and ponder on them. Then, in all earnestness, try not react like a young child.

Maybe people did not respond to your yacht thread because:

1. People are little tired of another thread started by and followed up with multiple posts by Tropicana. They may feel that they would be disturbing your conversation with yourself.
2. You just insulted the two people who responded to your yacht thread, Wahalla and RichD. Do you think anyone, after reading a thread where you raked these gentlemen over, will feel encouraged to respond to any of your threads?
3. Maybe you need to recognize there are other forums where you can post some of your threads. (I see you are trying.)

There are a few other reasons I could add but why don't you digest these three first. Read 1 Corinthians 3:2.

In no way shape or form have "raked Wahalla or RichD" over the coals. Clearly we are not reading the same thread. I am merely asking why no one ever gets on their case or blugiant's about the type of content THEY post yet when I as a woman post similar content there is always some smart aleck wid facety remarks..... yes that includes you. It's a legitimate question.

The answer is crystal clear to me and I am just pointing out that this is a double standard in operation.

I guess home grown Jamaicans are used to women speaking only 'bout frivolous topics like cake decorating, recipes and flowers, hairstyles, and fashions. I do note a lack of female participation on Jamaican talk shows that explore serious issues, for example. "A foreign" women are permitted to speak about a LOT more.

I mentioned the death of Henry Cecil. Because as a youth among my many jobs I worked horses, and alot of Jamaicans liked him as they followed British racing, he had an impressive record in the 70's and 80's, but he lost out to Gadolphin the invasion of the dubains. I like horse racing like a significant number of Jamaicans who bet !!!!

To be honest what the Henry Cecil death . (by the way I beleive he was related to Princes Diana thus to half the population of St Elizabeth) was make me remember the rivalry between Steve Cauthen and Jorge Velazquez... Much like the one between Emilio Rodiguez and Griffiths at Caymanas.

As for women liking baking double standards I find that hilarious. Funny at work I dont think a day goes by when we dont have a discussfood cooking and or baking. I ...Today I just had a discussion on Nambian steak that I bought in Norway..I had an argentine guy explain that some texans went over to Nambia. ( a whole discussion on that is more worthy) and took some tropicised Angus over. That I didnt know.. How we were going to to prepare it. A touch of coffee, I normally for Steak in scotland because of the high fat content of local beef just rest and cook it.. But because like most tropical beef I would not expect that the Nambian beef is hung and the lower fat content it wont be as flavoursome as Aberdeen Angus from the NE Scotland

We discuss bread making give each other tips, I like baking I find . Though I have no interest in cake decorating so should I take part in a discussion on cake decoration ???? I would find the physio chemical properties of the sugar based decorations fascinating and would enjoy discussing the elasticity, deformational plastic properties, Power Law, apprent rheology, Hershel Buckley properties and Hookes Law as related to the combination of sacarides, polymers and gelatine in the decorations.. but as for the decorations waste of my time... I dont like eat icing sugar...and think it spoils blac cake though does prevent the evapouration of the alcohol from the black cake.. wow a discussion on cake decorations!!!!!! there that subject is exhausted from my perspective!

However I would add this morning I had a discussion on concrete that has some application to cake decorating... u are aware that concrete goes over from a liquid phase via a transitional phase to a solids phase...During the transition phase the force exerted downward is loss as the concrete hardens,... and there is a temperture and pressure change as well as a change in gell properties, the UCA measurement. I would surmise that the same is true for cake decorations as they harden due to the change in temperature and the interactions with the outside atmosphere.... I wonder at what is the ideal crush pressure to do the cake decoration prior to it hardeneing maby 14.5 psi or 1 bar ???

I have no interest in nail polish or flower arranging. Though we last week did have a discussion on the death of bees, lateness of the cherry blossoms in northern Europe this year... cherry blossoms are my favorite flower... after piemento.. Both are like an explosion of flowers..

I did have a discussion on nail polish recently...As I reviewing a drilling discharge permit/ logistic/ risk assessment/ and noted that one chemical was banned. And I investigated and discovered that it contained less than 5% of the chemicals in most nail polish... So I pointed it out... but if u want to put on nail polish be my guest. But cold water sponges dont like it. as they still test new formulations on cute rabbits and or mice eyes! And though they still deny it they have to other wise how the hell can you confirm that they ont blind you if u accidentally flick a drop into your eyes when u apply it ? Another subjected exhausted from my perspective!

I picked up a few tips on them swearing at them... three or four of my friends at work with owns sailing vessel one is retired and he wants to up grade so he went back to work.. One guy a engineer of Scottish Jamaican heritage younger than me ambition was to own a sailing boat.. We consultants told him to join the dark side and he did this and bought his first vessel.. When I got the email that he succeed and own a boat in Phluket, we all we so pleased...In fact the comment we all said that was a good day for us that a man met his ambition...!

Still there are only two days when u own a boat that you are happy, the day you buy it and the day you sell it...

But I must say the yardie and me spent a summer in '10 in a office in a marina in the Faroes and we would discuss baking, cooking while watching yachts move in and out. Those 5 months reinforced my prejudiced contempt for "gin palaces"... What "Paul Allen of Micro soft fame " called a yacht the fifth biggest in the world....was ugly, like a RO RO ferry IMHO u could not pay me to go on one ok I was paid to see it!... ....Compared that to a slick sailing racing yacht that looked as majestic as Stag on the highland crag... I found out that there was a bunch of so called yacths in monaco that did not even have an engine... See foreign travel to explain an experience....

And it brigs my disdain for people who own those motor behemoth.. if u want a boat to sail fine it is Zen; i get that... So u can go deep sea fishing more power to you but a motor gin palace ? thas is just not right bit like wearing nail polish...one of the things human beings would be better without....

Hair... once a month I get she who must be obeyed to run a Number 1 cutter over my head....And I never notice if she changes her hair style till two days after.Which cause me to get it in the neck... But then I married her for her genetic make not her hair style. I solved that the last time she changed ...But as a Taino I have likke facial hair...it takes three months to grow a mostache.... So I then shave it.. This coincided with a hairstyle change. After the usual complaints about husbands who take wife for granted I asked her how come she never noticed I ever when I shaved... Hair discussion complete....


As for tropi discomfort at not getting comments to solve I would suggest she creates her own universe call it the Tropiverse-. And then evolve it to the stage where every one believes exactly like her. Jsut think there wold not be me you Peasie, MG, Tuffy or Evan in there.... Damn.. dont you P feel bad I didnt join ur discussion on Gardens ????I think nature should evolve as per numbers theory in a chaotic manner due to subjequent multifasceted enviromental stimuli rather than by control gardening! I also love cherry blossoms and flowers but don't feel women should be restricted to speaking about these topics and the recipient of facety remarks when they try to talk about other topics. Guess I should start a favourite flowers thread and that would be deemed more appropriate for a woman.

I am surprised to see the nail polish on my toe nails is still intact. The polish on my finger nails started to chip so I had to remove it. Just a tip. Dollar store nail polish doesn't work.
