I watched a lot of the testimony while I could. I think I missed only 1 or 2 days of listening to the testimony. Many of the things that people were talking about in the forums were dispersed during testimony. Especially the one about GZ 'following' TM. I have always remained neutral in the case because I didn't have access to all the evidence. Based on what I heard during the testimony, and especially from the state's witnesses, the more I felt he was not guilty, but I still did not pick a side because again, I didn't have access to all the evidence. In many cases, I felt the judge was unfair in allowing some evidence and denying others. The jurors did not see some of those discussions in court. We did. Like Don West, I said out loud "Are you kidding?" when the state added child abuse charges. In a small way, I was glad the judge ruled against that. On top of the defense having to fight for evidence requested during discovery. That was just wrong.
The TV is showing split screen with protests right now. I wonder out loud how many of these people protesting actually watched the testimony presented in court? Because if they had, they would also see what I saw with the way the witnesses answered questions and might (I said might) possibly have changed their opinion of the case to neutral.
This is a tragedy all around because GZ is now a marked man, and someone's son is dead. My SO just texted me to ask if I was jumping up and down? No I'm not. I'm just a silent observer that realizes that the self defense laws stand. I also realized the jury used the facts presented in court and not emotion. I also realized how much the media fueled some of the wrong information in this case.

RIP Trayvon
A verdict typical of what America considers justice, who would expect any different? If Z-man had shot a pitbull which had just mauled several children he would have been accused of criminally harming an animal and be subject to immediate arrest, and subsequent imprisonment on the grounds of cruelty to animals.
