yes i agree with what you are saying. I have been talking about it for a long time.

but in my view based on what i have heard ofthis case it don't think this is the place to take a stance and make a statement. Precedent leads me to believe that a minor sanction is the route to go here.

.. the issue for me is that they are doing it behind closed doors.. This may be standard practice but they need transparency and openness here and now. At the moment the other Jamaicans in Italy will be tried if Jamaica lets off VCB and itlay finds the other two guilty then there is something rotten in the state of denmark... I dont know how or Y the lady got contaminated.. I believe a minor sanction as well...given the frequency .. Blake, female, Male, Ray Stewart, Ottey, Pocket Rocket, VCB Cunniham, mullings asafa sheron ect.. it iis happening too often for us to dismiss with we are clean.. we clearly are not...

I would hope that VCB gets more than a slap on the wrist. If she did use PED, the JAA needs to think of the entire national team, not just VCB. A slap on the wrist makes it look bad for everybody else who runs clean. And yuh already done know the world is probably wondering about our sprinters. the technology existed to test for it.. they just did not use it or apply it to atheletics ....and there simply wanst the poltical will as the US was equally suspect.. look at the run up to the 1984 Pan american games... the number of athletes who went back home due to injury when they announce they would test all the medal winners....

rich our officals came out at Bejing that Jamaicans did not dope...a blanket denial.. They were wrong. As a nation we back that stance and encouraged the myth it was Trewlaney Yam. or the spirit of champs.. that is the frame of reference.. except for Ottey and Stewart all of those was post Beijing.....How do we compare to Kenyans ? I dont know... The Yankis.. I would say that it strikes me we are worst than them but I stand to be corrected...

i think anybody buying that was wishfully nieve. I come from the POV that everybody is doing something that if not illegal now will soon be illegal. the whole concept of banning something that enhances performance is ridiculous..all athletes train every day to enhance their performance..everything they do is towards that goal.

90% of the athletes and coaches that are of Jamaican Heritage that have been banned/cite for PED and other illegal substances, were not in Jamaica's Amateur or Professional Coaching Programmes.
VCB certainly is not.

Even among the later atheletes who could be said to be under the Jamaica Coaching regimen barely spend a day in Jamaica,under Jamaican Trainers.
Asafa Powell comes to mind, he got his own agent, own trainer and was merely flying under the MVP Flag.
