Ahhh yes...you saw it by yourself but in the theatre dem people was bawling...keep in mind in a jammed packed theatre there were 4 black people in there, they wer not the ones crying......

<span style="font-weight: bold">Killer Elite</span> & 1/2 - David loved this (having lived it I guess), I thought it was a little disappointing...

<span style="font-weight: bold">Tower Heist</span> bwoy... it had it's moments, and being scared of heights, I couldn't watch the part where they were hanging out the window...
Gotta mention Gabourey Sidibe or at least, the character she played. First introduction to her: she loud mouth, with a most distressing 'island' accent, demands of the manager, in front of all the staff, that she needs a husband quick or she was going to be deported.
Immediately I started praying that she wasn't going to be portraying a Jamaican (yeah, I know, that in and of itself is an issue) but wouldn't you know it. She was. F_! Silly me, I thought this stereotype was over, but nah, Brett Ratner had to slide that one in there. And the thing is, it wasn't even integral to the plot in any way shape or form. Seemed like a dig to me.
Otherwise, I won't give a way the plot, such as it is
in case ya'll are planning on seeing it.
I'll give this flick and a half.

I think we have high standards for the jamaican haccents in movies that the regular mercans/canadians doan have...but her accent was a definite fail..from the one likkle clip me see on The ViewComment

saw this by accident on the weekend (meaning, if mi did know wa kina movie it wasnt going to be i wouldnt have chosen it). i was in danger of writing it off until the scene with Christina Hendricks, and boy howdy! did i sit up then.
i would give it a 1/2. some parts mi neva love summuch. beautifully directed, tho. loved Ryan Gosling.

Finally watched <span style="font-weight: bold">Friends with Benefits</span> (yeah, I waited til I could see it on telly) and it wasn't half bad. Quite funny actually.... I give it: & 1/2
