Can you get matching siding for your house? If so, I'd plug up at least the bottom 2/3rd of that window. The only other thing I can thik of is to put in a corner shower on the other side of it. I see what you mean about that window, I was picturing a higher up one, like head high...

One idea for the window is glass etching cream.... or check out this vendor on eBay for steam resistant window film:

Depending on the theme you go with, here are some examples

Berlin Pattern


They have many more, and that is only one....if you use etching cram, you can selct your own pattern.

Anyway, that is idea one. More soon come.

lol Greenie no I haven't lost my mind! If I couldn't move that shower, rearrange the pipes and such, there is no way I'd have only glass between me and the outside world when I was showering! Yes, I know, this from somone who has a clawfoot sitting under huge double south facing windows but the nearest people from that window are almost a mile away!

How about having Greenie paint a nice sea scape mural on the window, would light still shine through? Do you know anyone who does stained glass?

Pepper, your bathroom is almost exactly like mine. same size sink, same placement of sink - toiet - tub, even same colour scheme and window, except my window is small and high and looks over into the neighbours yar.

i had sliding doors in mine and it got broke so i took it out and put in shower curtains. big mistake. look like the curtains hang on to moisture more dan glass, because a piece a mold tek up mi ceiling over the tub... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Rich, are tiles on the floor advisable if your bathroom is on the second storey? my house is backsplit, and the bathroom is over the crawl space...

i dont know of any problem with tiles on upper floors...my upstairs bathrooms have tiled floors. i think you just have to make sure you have a suitable subfloor.

I don't know if etching on the glass will work out the way I want. You can still see the ladie's silhouette (sp?) through the glass.

pepper..at least the sink unit look like its in good condition...change the cupboard and the fawcet and it will dramatically change the look.

I haven't thought of anything other than getting rid of the cheap materials that are in there now. The entire bathroom was upgraded, but all with CHEAP materials. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

We haven't started shopping yet, that will start the wekend after easter.
