Actually, I have a friend to help with the tile work. Between him and my son, and I, all really need to purchase are the materials. WIth that in mind, I would like to get really nice tiles. I know I can get really good deals in Miami, so once I get there and check out the prices, I will have a better idea of what else can be done.

The bathtub I am not expecting to pay more than $2K for the tub and installation. Am I way off??? I'm not getting a whirlpool tub or anything like that, just a rectangle that holds water....but not one of inferior quality like what I have now.

The toilet will probably run me a couple hundred dollars. Probably between 3 and 4 hundred. But I can always put that in after the rest of the bathroom is done.

My main concern is the tiling. I don't mind if the tiling eats up all my budget and I have to wait a couple months to take care of the fixtures. I want good tile.

Anyway, yes, that was perfect, as I kept going back to the tile in my mind! And, I am no assuming that the Design Center is not too far out of the way to go look?

Yes Tuffy, I am hoping to with bigger tiles. I love the way they look.

GB, are you referring to expo design center, the high end home depot? No that is not too far away, I could pay them a visit.

Does anyone have a picture of a framed mirror?

No, I didn't mean Expo, although that is an idea. I will find hte link of what I do mean.

In the meantime, I need the room dimensions, excluding the tub. Also, the specific vanity measurements (l x w x h) and whether or not you have any room to go a little bigger or not (maybe you want it smaller?).

Also, how about storage? Do you need some in there, or does it just give him an opportunity to mess it up? Do you have enough with the vanity now, or you want more? Anything else you can think of?

it probably came with the house when you bought it but I HATE those sliding doors.... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] and whenever I move...that is top of my list...it is a deal breaker....don't care if there is dishwasher...but that door makes it so difficult to clean the bathroom.....

The floor area without the tub is 71x58. Is that what you are asking for?

The vanity is 37x22x31. I think that size is good. I wouldn't want to go bigger, right now the space from the toilet tank to the vanity is about 1 foot. I could go smaller on the vanity, but not that much smaller. No Pedestal...I'm not really a fan of the pedestal.

We have plenty with the vanity now. I don't like those bathroom storage units. Or I should say, I have never seen one that I liked. But he has a linen closet in the hall right outside the bathroom, and all his supplies fit under the vanity.
