so hear dis. mi check in with mi fren who work in the nicu and annedda nicu nurse who is a lactation consultant, currently breastfeeding and she herself had a preemie 6 years ago. dem seh is poppycock and dat unless me personally doing things fi overstimulate him (which i wasn't) den mi doing di best ting for him. of course studies prove dat when u do dis dem thrive more, u milk come in real good and dem go home quicker.

so mi going to be back on duty holding him todeh fi as long as mi (and him) want

it neva did sound rite to me dat dem seh u a spen too much time widdim. the bonding is so critical, get that established well at the hospital to make for a smoother transition when u and him go home.

Mi late but CONGRATS galore!!!

Nuh worry bout di preemie ting. My nieces (TWINS) bawn one week apawt at 4.5 and 5 mths. respectively, (yes, yuh read dat rite) and dat was 6 yrs aguh.

Dem did live a di hospital fi bout chree or four months and my sistah dung dey every gad day. Now shi sey har biggess mistake was dat shi neva did tekk advantage wen dem did dey pon vacayshan a di hospital for a bay ruckus dem run from den til now.

If yuh should see dem now you would NOT believe sey dem was bawn suh early.

Juss hang in dere. A vahcayshan yuh deppan. Yuh wait til Alex come home an come tekk ova.

cyber, mi wish mi cud tek dat advice but mi cyaan see mi likkle bwoy left alone inna di hospital fi any whole heap a time. i did sleep in today tho. mi never realize how tired i was. i also didn't stay as long caw mi pressure gawn up again . so mi a try work on taking care a miself from now on.

so mi hold him fi bout 3 hours todeh. him a get fat too. 4 lbs 5 oz

u see how him hand dem cross and him head set? well my boy was laying on mi again (kangaroo hold) when again him lift up him head, cross him hand dem and set down him head. mi never tink it was a good idea so mi reposition him (head pointing di edda way, two hand dem by each side) no sah him liff up him head again, cross him hand dem and tun him head just like him want it . after 3 times of this mi decide fi low him
