I was in a situation where the child support issue came up. After splitting with my kids dad (13yrs of marriage) he was soooo intent trying to mash up my life that he paid not one red cent of child support. Never did I take the matter to court. I felt like that I should not have to force him to take care of his kids. (Mostly my pride) I just went out and got a 2nd job for about a year until the finances got better!

But, you know something if I had to do it over again, I would definetly had got the courts involved. Why should he get away with shirking his responsibilites due to revenge?

He used all the excuses why he was not going to give me money, to spend on myself, to get my hair done, what a idiot argument. If they needed something he would just buy it blah blah blah, That ish is just a <span style="font-weight: bold">cop out</span>!

Here is the kicker....My oldest son decided that he wanted to go live with his Dad, and the youngest was following fashion, he wanted to go also. I let them finish out the last semester of the school year with him and I paid him child support!

I applaud all the women that take the men to court!

If you play you got to pay!

The kids only stayed with him for a half a school semester, he was more than happy for them to come back to me. He saw how much child support really contributes to the overall situation!

The parent that is paying support is getting away easy in my opinion! They have the lighter load to carry!

And this is the reason I have never been in a child support case...

The man is broke, but he cares about his boy, and he does all he can to help.

Bottom line, both parents have to care enough about their child and be a part of it's life to the best of their ability physically as well as financially.

There is no excuse what so ever. They can sit around and beg you to have their child, the minute the child gets here it's another story. I know things happen and yes we can run into trouble from time to time but how long has he been singing this broke song and dance? Big ole strapping somebody hollering he's broke I don't care if he had to walk up and down the street selling flowers at least he's trying. It's his obligation to do more than care.

You know what Boopie, I'm not talking about Bandi's situation directly but for some parents that situation works out best. My father lived in the states since I was 1 year old and I only saw him once e year. Mind you I had everything I could ever want/need materially it still did not make up for my father's not being there. I didn't live with my father until I was 17 years old and by then it was too late for me to form the bond with him that he would have liked.

Anyway, I am not saying that financial support from both parents is not necessary. The point I am trying to make is that material things are not all that a child needs and if he is getting everything materially and getting love, affection and attention from both parents then I don't see anything wrong with that. Especially if both parents are mutually agreeable on it.

Lawx Boopie. De situation work for them. Shi naw complain and I'm sure he child is benefitting from having both his parents around. Not to mention, if the dad is spending quality time and staying home with the child, then that is actually saving bandanna nuff money that she would have spent on day care.

if it was bandi staying home with the kid and not working everybody would praise har an say oh, SAHM hardest job in the world an wat not...so why when is a SAHD de man hafi wukliss
