sadly i think the core of the issue is that she does not respect herself enough because if she did then she would have respected himself enough to discuss the pregnancies at the time of the pregnancies no?

You know Kia I dont believe it is respect she has an issue with.........I think it is control........she is suppose to be stable, levelheaded, strong e.g...........I think that would explain the other terminations......it like when people who eat and purge.......in their mind they have control over their body by per say what stays in and what comes out......make sense?

I still don't understand how the doctor discussed the termination with Pete and he is not her husband. What happened to doctor and patient confidentiality? While
I don't condone her actions there seems to be more
to the situation than described. A '30 something
professional woman should have communicated to Pete
that she wished to terminate the pregnancy. What galls
me is that fact that she has done this before without his knowledge. Something is fishy here afterall this is not a soap on tv. Do you know how many of our young women can't
even get a good date much more a man who is comitted and
ready for marriage? She is plain crazy and needs therapy
perhaps in an inpatient facility.

I thought of the doctor as well.... such a breach of patient/doctor confidentiality and worse to just divulge such delicate and personal information to Pete. So Joan did the abortion at her personal physician's office?

If you saw her eyes when she was talking to me about it, you'd see why I've already arrived at that conclusion.

Pete did go with her to the doctor a few times (she said) so who knows what she told the doc. **Shrug** I didn't ask that so me no know why the doctor would have said that to Pete on the phone. Me can only assume that he thought he knew.

As I said up top, some people are sicker than we want to believe.
