personally, I haven't slept with many men there
but have learned from my many visits what the culture is there
I some of the time wish I had only stayed on the beach as a tourist and left the rest alone

I don't know why I need to defend my position here but I will give you a bit more of the story

first,this man is someone who has been tested several times for Aids during our relationship with each other
My suggestion but his sensible side that agreed
and for all you non believers I did see the test results from the clinic where he had the test done [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

again I say don't generalize without knowing this man
he isn't one to do what others might to keep his habit
is it not possible that some with this problem handle it in a way
differently than others?

I am wasting time trying to make my point here when people respond with such a closed mind

have you ever known anyone to have a drug problem?
NOT ALL are down and dirty and sleep around etc to get money to supply their habit
some have more of a habit than others

I am not in anyway shape or form justifying any drug habit just telling you that not all stay in the same way with it

Yes actually I knew 2 but weren't sexually involved with them. Like yourself I was actually shocked when putting two and two together. One stole all the money I had out of my purse, and I had to ask "our" friend to give me a ride home. From that day he was dead in my eyes and mind. The other one is probably dead as well.

yes he was the man who stole money from me
gave me the royal con game and so on

this man,with the big problem,NEVER touched a dollar of my
money,never gives me the con

I suppose people wonder why would I bother with a man that has

right now this man is going to go in rehab
stay there 8 weeks
when all is said and done,I hope,actually I am praying, this is all he will need to get on with his life in a better way
his choice not mine
if he can't then I have some serious decisions to make

for now I will keep the thoughts positive and watch where it leads to

have you ever been involved with a man that had a problem?
no matter how large or small that problem was
did you run from him or stay by him to give support when he needed it most

circumstances in life come as they may
I wasn't expecting this man I have been with to have a problem like this
now that I have come to see he does why would I run???
HE IS THE ONE WHO WENT TO THE REHAB ON HIS OWN
BIG STEP FOR HIM and I say Good.....
more than him alone have come to have drug problems
some kick it out in a short time,some take many attempts
and some fail and never get away
I will think positive and pray daily for him to be the one that needs this small amount of help to understand better why he got to where he is and learn how to change it

negative vibes only breed negative vibes
not for me thank you

think what you may,I know who I am and why I am doing what I have done

maybe it is my mistake to come to some message board and expect people to have understanding of a subject such as this

and I am quite aware that not everyone in Jamaica is suffering with this issue,although,as a close Jamaican friend of mine that lives here said to me the other day "mi can't believe how my people suffer so and have no attitude"everyone in Jamaica needs help
she has a Mom who was quite sick that she went home to visit
open eyes when I am there says yes,much suffering amongst these people and their lives
do you visit the same jamaica as I do?

because I see plenty of hard life,all covered by their bright smiles

Once I find out that he was a liar and on top of that a theif friend or no friend he had to go.

So you said that he chose to go, yet you were making the call about accepting him? Did he give consent to release information to you? All mental health and substance abuse facilities will not give any info about patients progress or regress unless there is a consent signed to release that information. Furthermore, if he wants to go, he should be making the calls.

I didn't take him by the hand and drag him there
he is sick and tired of this problem he has,his words

he was there,he called me and asked for me to also talk to the woman....I did....no harm done

I hope I don't come off sounding arrogant about the plight of the people
I would rather believe that I see the reality of how life goes on
it is a hard life for many,but I have learned a lot from a society that is strong and proud in how they run life
