There's an element of danger in that though. In any given situation, the grammar can become the focus of attention and we risk losing sight of what is being conveyed. I wouldn't say good grammar is indicative of intelligence. For sure it facilitates clarity, but it doesn't stand to reason that a grammatical incorrect piece is automatically void of anything intelligent.
