In the 5 years i've had my locs, I never counted them. It does take me an 1hr to twist and pin down while watching TV. And I do sit under the dryer for either 45mins or 1hr (because i end up doing at nite). Otherwise my hair will smell if its not dried properly.Comment

Hi there! I am recent client of sisterlocks. Gosh if only I had known about this long ago I would never have permed or braided my hair. Goggle sisterlocks and there is so much info out there about it. The cheapest way is to go to Jamaica and get it started. The ladies do it down there now and what a way to start a vacation. For the first year it takes a lot of maintenance and will cost you plenty. So far I have logged almost 50 hrs trying to get my hair in form.

Oh the picture of me at one month that big "v" at the hairline has all grown in nicely. I did not know I had lost so much hair from my hairline from perming and braiding until it's all fill in and now I have to start another row of sisterlocks there. Yippppeee!!!!!

i don't use the dryer. I usually put it up. Never any problems with smell afterward - as a matter of fact most times when i take it down - after a few days - it's like a bouquet and smells very fresh -Originally posted by K i a:

and i don't have to worry about the barber changing up my shape every time i go get my 'fro trimmed
or those black ears i used to have from burning myself with the curling iron
