Re: Healthy Eating Support - Week of 21 Feb 2011
Weekends are generally when I allow myself to go off plan.
Saturday I enjoyed some salty, crunchy snacks and a (whole) beer as well as chocolate chip cookies.
On Sunday, I didn't feel for any junk food, so was back on plan with my fish, chicken, shredded cabbage, & salad with avocado.
According to myfitnesspas, I'm supposed to be at the following levels per day:
1200 Calories
165g Carbs
40g Fat
45g Protein
If I increase my protein I can probably stay at or under 1200 calories per day; as I'm low-carbing the other numbers will be nowhere close.
Is anyone afraid of weighing themselves? I'm so anti-scale, that I've decided to use clothing size to measure progress.

blackstar ur menus look fab. i had a beer this weekend, too.</span> </div></div>The main thing is to keep trying, MGee, until you find that most times you don't really want any snack food - even on allowed cheat days.
In France we tend to eat our biggest meal at lunch which is why my menu is so "complete". A few months ago, I spent a week in the London office. By Friday, I was sick to death of sandwiches and other meals in a box.

Re: Healthy Eating Support - Week of 21 Feb 2011
weighing daily drives me crazy (singing to the tune of that 90s? song
) . Once a week or every other week is ok for me now- but I know that I'm mostly on track. if I was having cheat meals every day or cheat days every weekend, the scale could really help to keep that in check.
but I did weigh myself this weekend and i'm now in another decade
not recording it officially on MFP until Saturday though.

i always have pants that tight for me
I guess because i went up to the biggest size in my closet before deciding that enough was enough

Re: Healthy Eating Support - Week of 21 Feb 2011
Why are you weighing yourself daily?
Are you doing any strength and cardiovascular exercises?

A better way to measure progress is by using a measuring tape. Measure your arms, legs, and midsections and take note of the changes on a weekly basis.
