Sis, you just have to chip away at it...little by little. It is by FAR better to do SOMETHING than nothing at all. It's the "Godly" thing to do...help out someone in need.

Rudemonk, I hear what you're saying fo sho! The thing is, matters of foreign policy are the LAST thing Americans are thinking about. It's in our "culture!" Mainstream Amerika is media and consumer-driven, they (most of them) just don't even give it a thought. The ones in control (corporations and some politicians) are not interested in a poor country of Black people [img]/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] ...now if they find usable oil or other precious natural resources, things will change in a flash! Well to be fair…there are some speaking out…but darfur is not so clear cut as say rwanda…some paint it as arab vs. black or muslim vs. christian but it's not that simple…some of the 'arabs' doing the killing are 'black' & are certainly 'african'...anyway iz long time I n I bredrin a bun fiyah pon tribal war…but the thing is the africans in america and africa are enamored of islam and are slow to criticize fellow black muslims…another thing; if africa won't do anything about it why should the usa? We criticize american gov't for this & that but we want them to help us when we are in trouble? That is hypocritical…anyway it's a master plan…and the children of africa in the diaspora have a role to play…don't tell me about 'black leaders' because there are no more…each man must be a leader unto himself…some of you wanted to march for the mexicans but when last have you marched for africa?...still too much mistrust & division between africans at home and abroad…there's a long way to go and a lot of people trying to stunt the development with propoganda (read story on bob marley in the current issue of 'vibe' magazine)…but where there's a will there's a way…
