my mom does not control any part of my life but i do take their wishes for me into consideration. I'm 24 and yes, i'm still in college. I'm studying biology and then masters in education. I had a rough time my first few years of school and then took a year off to work and figure out my life.

Please don't concern yourself with what his family may think... my goodness, you only knew him for 8 days... it's YOUR family and YOUR feelings that you should be concerned with....

at first, he had to be a russian/ukrainian jew, then just a jew, but like i said, she's coming around and she, after initial shock, will accept the man for who he is. luckily, my parents will respect him for treating me with respect and providing for his family

I would not ask him to convert unless he wanted to himself. I am not very religious, at least not in a jewish way. I believe in god, and in the divine, i believe in spirituality and life after death (real jews dont)
