I know that's right one of my employer's quit her job because of stress. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] She thought it would be a piece of cake to stay home with the kids. I got another job and she didn't stay home for long, kids were giving her too much stress. I guess not because I used to work at home (telecommute) so de silence neva bodda mi cause mi did always deh pon conference call or a go meeting. There is a large community here of moms & 1 dad who have chosen to sahm so a lot going on here in terms of socialization. When this construction is finished I would be alone from bout 10 - 2:30 which would be time to finish up chores, make phone calls, arrange appts , etc.. so ie noh so bad. (gym a mawning time after drop off to school)

I guess if you had kids things would change,it`s hard to maintain that level of equality around the house when kids are in the mix,certain roles would soon become defined over time.

To be honest with you Compry I do enjoy mowing the lawn and pottering around in my garden,if I was unable to do it my daughter would,it`s simply not something my wife loves doing and I appreciate that,there are areas of our lives I hate doing which she does,I hate the paperwork side of things for example,paying bills,keeping up with all utility and household bills,she does that very effectively.

I also enjoy cooking,whereas she doesnt,so most of the time I do the cooking,overall though I would say the workload is very even around our house.

For a start nappies would be changed,and it`s highly unusual for a woman to go back to work the day after having a baby wouldnt you say,which would mean that she is at home while hubby is at work.

I am a family man,been there done that,wear the t-shirt and the cap,no matter how we protest about equality in the home there are always some roles that eventually becomes hers and his,I believe that is why men and women are built differently,we should appreciate those differences.

Ok I concur,...the mother goes to work whilst the man stays at home changing nappies,when the woman comes home from work tired and exhausted after a hard day she takes over the nappy changing and stays up with baby however long baby takes to get to sleep.

Yes one can live well in JA for less than it costs in the US.
