I totally agree with you here. One of my pet peeves is listening to people who put limitations on themselves blame every body for their failures; everybody but themselves. In Jamaica one will pay an arm and a leg to get a post secondary education, still there are those who find means of paying to accomplish their goals. In America, you have organizations who will pay your tuition, there are grants and sholarships galore yet you have the complainers (mostly blacks that I'm familiar with) not make use of that opportunity, but later huddle and complain about their pay and what they don't have. There are simply no excuses of laziness; male or female, christian or non-christian.

Esther, there was a young lady in the church that I attended when I lived in the city who would constantly say, she's waiting on God for a husband. I would personal witness several of the young men inviting her out and she never accepted any of the offers because she was "waiting on God". When I moved nine years later, she was still waiting. I met her a few years later, visiting my current church and I found out that she was finally married to a non-christian.

Go figure.

No risk at all why risk? Everyone is free to believe what they wish but at the outset he didnot make it clear that he was talking about Christian women being the best they can be, but rather comparing loosely non-Christian and Christian women. And I still take issue with being my best as a prerequisite for finding a mate. Although that is not an issue for me I have had a problem with the slight tilt in his arguments both past and present where wealth and prosperity if I may summarize it as such, is concerned. It seems to be the predominant theme in choosing a mate. I could be mistaken.

CEW, just want to say, though touchy, this topic is one that is not addressed enough in some churches and in some Christian homes. I may not have agreed with a lot of points posted however, thank you for being bold enough to post and address it. Hopefully those Christian females and females in general who contributed and those who may have read it and chose not to post will take the positives from this post and make a change in their lives.

Ditto! I like that Esther!. And that is why I love these very energised [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] sensitive threads. Some of these topics are not addressed in christendom or even if they are, they do not allow for a good discussion/debate on these sensitive topics.
