He ran a 16:47 and his team came in 7th out of 30 schools. They are not happy they wanted to be in the top 5 but hey this was their first time going to State so I think they did great.

They are [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70379-moneyeyes.gif[/img] in my opinion. They (the company) did a heavy promotion last indoor track season here. If they do this year again, I am gonna order a pair and see.

Going out pretty soon. I am being urged to run at the gym (on the treadmill, as it is starting to get dark... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70394-sleeping.gif[/img] ) but I am feeling edgy again [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img] so... anyhow folks...

Ya know, I was pleasently surprised at the cost...they were cheaper than the Asics I have been wearing. I paid $89.99 for them...My last pair of Asics Gel Kayanos were $129.

CARBO load we did!!! Ate a Bucca De Beppo the night before and had Fettucini Alfredo, Spagetti with meat balls the size of a baby head, LInguinne with seafood....Oh man...it was the BEST meal ever!!! The bottle of Chianti helped too [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif[/img]

Personal Best...no...not for Half Marathon...BUT...personal best for THIS half marathon...its my second time running the SEattle Half and I shaved 24 minutes off my time from 2 years ago...still not HUGELY happy with the time....had hoped for under 2:30...but finished at 2:34. Its a killer route with hills that are long and steep....I am happy to say that I never walked a single one...I ran every damn hill they put in front of me...

The weather was PERFECT...sunny...cool crisp and No wind...made for a really nice run. Mr Ochi stayed by my side the whole time even though he probably could have finished around 2:15...he pushed me at the times I wanted to stop and walk...

We sprinted across the finish line together...funny how that last mile you think you cant lift your foot one more step...then you see the finish line and that last .10 of a mile is your fasted pace ever. I swear we were full on sprinting....where that burst of energy came from I will never know...wish I could bottle it and use it at about mile 12...

All in all...it was a great day...the medals were UGLY though!!! with over 11,000 participants you would think they could choose a medal thats pretty....[img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]

LImping around slowly today...thanks all for the well wishes.

NEVA!!! Our wedding vows were to have and to hold, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health and ONLY IN HALF MARATHONS!!!

Nah...when you reach your mid 40's, it isnt a time to start that kinda thing...we have enough pain after a half to even think about it. If I do anything different it would be a Tri-athalon...a Mini tri that is.

I have considered doing the Breast Cancer 3 day/60 mile walk however... How bad can 60 miles be if your walking.... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img] Anyone ever do it?

Anyhow, it look like mi gwine haffi heng wid you ahn MrO, cah oonu carbo-load in style [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img] Cheap cheese pizza, pasta with plain tomato sauce, white rice w/ gravy is about the extent of it on this end [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70374-lipsrsealed.gif[/img]

As for the ride, I finished...that is about all I can say about that. I was kinda shaky for the entire ride. I dont think I ever got warm, even though I was sweating. I think I am coming down with something, so I have been Zycam-ing up since the ride. I am going to take it easy this week, maybe a quick 3 miler later in the week, but nothing more than that. I am gonna just rest, or rest as much as dis high maintenance fambly of mine will allow [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Well I did come down with something...a hideous cold. Argggg. It's a perfect day to go running or bicycling...a very cloudy 60 deg.F temp. Mi decide to stay locked up in the house. Yesterday I ran 6 miles around the property; it was a chilly 45 deg temps~~~~~~a GREAT run. During the week I ran at the gym...and logged 3 mls for the two days I ran prior to yesterday.

Yesterday I did a 5 miler run. The run was good and I felt great even though it was chilly and drizzling. Today I take a day off...no running.
