I am sorry that it took her dying for me to realise her strength. It is almost impossible to comprehend just how long suffering and forbearing she must have been to be dealing with not only a life threatening illness but the attacks from so many who didn't really know her. She told me once via e-mail that being admin was such a thankless job, that she wondered daily why she did it... but she did it because she saw what the board and its members could become...

Could I have done that? No...

I feel thoroughly ashamed for not recognizing her worth, for not giving her her due...

I am ashamed because I took her for granted. I took it for granted that she would've been here today...if not posting, at least reading...

Even in death, she's taught us a lesson - a lesson worth remembering: Let's not take each other for granted. Let's remember that we're not just 'monikers' but people with dreams, hopes, desires, troubles.. That we're people who love and deserve to be loved...

Let's remember that life is short and grudges are like bullets...

Let's remember each and everyone of us because we've all contributed something worth remembering...

Words cannot express how shocked and saddened I am by Marcia's death. I had no idea she was ill so now I am full of regrets that I didn't take advantage of the opportunity to spend more cyber-time with her. As others have said, I have felt sisterly love and great admiration for Marcia and I pray for her peace and pray for her family that they be comforted.

I had the chance to meet Marcia briefly at a bashment hosted by R+. From the few moments we talked I was impressed by her friendly smile. She told me that I was not posting enough on jamaicans.com. I will try to post more Marcia, I promise.

Once while walking through Shaw Park I thought to myself this is what heaven must look like. I can imagine Marcia strolling through the gardens right now.

Marcia we have never met in person and G2 and I were talking about you just yesterday and saying that I would love to meet you and hope that you would be at the next bashment but this was never meant to be.

I am speechless,all I can say is, she gives me strength even in dying.

Even though I have to deal with death on a daily basis,there are times when i woshed one didn't have to,and this is one,although I never met her in person,like many here I have the good fortune to exchange E/mails and exchange advice on a number of occasions,
I can say she impresses me as principled,caring and honest person,whp expresses so much humillity,it was refreshing to inteact with her.

She is one member that I wanted to meet in person,I now realize that I am too late for that.
My most heart felt wishes to her family .

I haven't been on the board lately, but had to come on today to express my sadness at losing someone whom I always thought that I would meet one day soon.

I now know that 'one day soon,' will be longer than expected.

Though, like many, I've never met Marcia in person, I was glad for the rare moments that I was able to interact with her on the board. She was funny, thoughtful, and caring. BIg sister Marcia, I admired your strength. Told you as much whenever i saw you cause "mi nuh know how yu wan did handle being admin fi so long"

I remember your encoraging words about completing school, when I was just about ready to give up and go a mi yard.. I remember you telling me it would only disappoint my parents especially my mom who I missed dearly and so wanted to be under her roof once more.

I remember when I wasnt "a hundred percent" you picked this up just thru my attitude on the bb, remember what you told me? Well i do.

Last week,when we pm'd, you never let on that you were not well, i keep re-reading them, there was one line that made me smile, i am sure you know what that is..and hey, that will always be the case [img]/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

A part of me tells me you wouldnt want me crying, but I simply cant help it.
