don't those guys have the right to choose who they want to date, however screwed up their reasons may be? that shouldn't be problem for the women unless for some strange masochistic reason, they really wanna get with those guys. and if the women call them out of course they're gonna defend and cast blame. but i cannot understand why the girls wanna go there with them anyway?? not that they should pretend it doesn't exist.. but why focus on those type of people at all?

If a Black woman was raised in a White area and lives in a White area and rarely meets Black guys who are single, who would you suggest that she focus on?

I don't buy that they have emotional problems. IMHO, they are just plain racist and sexist and that they show to ALL Black women who cross their path, not just me.

There is no such thing as a Black racist.. racism involves having control over the power structure and economic system and the ability to keep people who are in a minority locked out of the system. Name me one country in which Black people wield such clout.

It is certainly possible for Black people to be prejudiced and to discriminate against others on the basis of race. I just don't get where some of onoo are coming from...perhaps it's some of what you shared a while back Neutral about being raised in a Black country and seeing the social class, shade thing in operation. I can understand only to a degree but I think I can empathize. However, that does not take away the need to eradicate the ills of a racist society and I don't get how some who have left Jamaica don't want to address that. Break it down fi mi noh?

she is is the same situation as everyone else. her only option is to date people who are interested. white, black, brown, red, yellow, purple... what ras difference does it make as long as there is love? or sex? or money? what are you after? that's what you should focus on.

what's wrong with dating one of another skin color? so what, you rule out anyone who doesn't fit your complexion standard? if so, you are just the same as the black men who choose based on those criteria.

if you are really hung up on skin color and you rarely meet black men who are single then you got three options as i see it:

1) move
2) stay single and keep searching
3) broaden your horizons
