Ok Dahjah ..here is the deal.. I am with you on the discussion that the child should not be handcuffed. Kinda a drastic measure.. I would have to hear from the police why that measure was taken - who knows. But c’mon Dahjah ..must everything be painted as racism.

And BTW you never seen White kids get handcuffed and arrested by WHITE cops?? Just recently during the Terri Schiavo 3 white kids were handcuffed and arrested (Did you miss it on your local news Dahjah?). And dat arres fi sinting trupid.. nat even fi real crime. Now can you imagine if those kids were black what kind of topic would be started on this board. Are we jus sniffing out the white cops vs Black and when the same happens to white kids – NO BIG DEAL! After reading some of the comments, I can't believe this is Jamaicans.com.....too many Uncle Tom's on this web forum....it really scares me....
I know we disagree at times, but I don't understand how some of you cannot see blatant racism! Did those Haitian kids in Queens deserve to eat off of the cafeteria floor...I wonder what the comments on the board would be if I posted that article. Oh it's not racism, they were just misbehaving, so they deserved to eat off of the floor....please!

There is no denying that racism is still alive and well today...But we have to admit dat damn pickney bad man! If you were the teacher how would you feel if you tried everything to calm her down and she kept hitting you? Now if you slap her back you going to jail. So if you call the Mom (obviously Dad not around) and she can't get there ASAP, then I guess the next thing to do would be to call the authorities? The child is so darn rude that she not even scared of the police.

But I saw the mom and child being interviewed and I blame the mom, neither she nor her daughter have any broughtupsy. Madda a big woman and don't even know how to speak properly. Di child tek from her, you haffi learn fi dance a yard before you dance abroad. It starts at home people!! Child need a good old fashion a$$ wooping.

Well, I have friends who are Jamaican that read the posts on a regular basis. They can't believe that this is a Jamaican website/webforum. They have also stated that it is an embarassment. The comments, the Uncle Tom's and the promotion of homosexuality makes you wonder.....

u know i neva look at it as a black/white issue. i look at it that the police handcuff a 5 yo child and put her in the backseat of the police car and brought her to the station. It could and should have been handle much much better than that by the police.. there should be no reason for them to have to handcuff her at all.
