Not 5 yr old but you and others have strayed away from the age argument and went head on to the RACE argument.. Since you are talking about race ..I thought I might demonstrate to you that WHITE kids do get handcuffed too.

we have govt regulations for everything under the sun it seems..

Okay, I don't know if this has been posted yet, and if it has, please excuse me, but FYI:

Did you hear about the little boy at the same school in FLA where the 5 yr old was arrested?

School surveillance cameras showed this boy going into class, then minutes later, suddenly running out of class. He ran out of the school building, off school property, and into the street where he was hit by a passing car. He's now in a coma and his mother is wondering why this happened.

She thinks that maybe the boy was scared of the teacher or felt he would be in trouble for something and thought he might be arrested, like the little girl was, so he ran to avoid that consequence.

this is why i'm finding that i can't engage in any meaningful discourse on sociological and political issues on the board - everything is about race...could it be that this was simply a situation where a group of dumb a** cops used the wrong degree of restraint/force on a child - period? do they have a history of doing this to only black children? have they treated white children (and dahjah, mi no have a problem wid you brethren - but using terms like "yt" lessens your position from one of informed criticism, to simply grinding an axe with white people) differently under the same circumstances?

blindly tossing around racial accusations and making a broad generalization from this incident seems a bit premature to me, and I say this as a black man who has had cuffs put on him a few times, including as a child.
